I was pretty happy with everything. It went smoothly, and they were good at keeping communication going. It was a good experience.
They've done a good job, and it went fast.
The guys who came to the house from Power Home Remodeling were phenomenal, and the job they did was even better. They are a great company, and are actually from where my girlfriend is from. All the guys who visited the house were great, from the door knocker salesman to Tristan, who prepared the order for the roof. After the roof was done, another gentleman came by who was the quality manager, and checked off on the job. He was also awesome.
The crews arrived promptly. They were polite, knew what needed to be done.
Blake Nyman told me it would be a one day job. I told him Friday, December 5th didn't work for me because I was working in Boston that day, but Saturday, the 6th would work. To my surprise, the crew showed up early on Friday. I had to dispatch my daughter, who lives in Sandwich, to the house so that someone could be there. My bad for not reviewing the entirety of the contract at the time. Having spent five plus hours going through the sales pitch, I just wanted to get it done. The crew did not finish until well after 6 PM the following day, in complete darkness, rendering the post-work inspection useless. Indeed, a bundle of shingles and a single ventilation shingle is still in my driveway. It was too dark for the crew to even see what was left behind. Please come back to take them away once the snow clears. The next day, I stopped counting after picking up 100 roofing nails from the lawn and bushes.
On that Saturday morning, the second day of work, I heard what turned out to be flashing and roofing materials come crashing down on my composite back deck because the tarp had not been properly secured at that end of the house, damaging the deck.
Blake told me that, in preparing the estimate, he was overestimating the amount of wood that would be required, and more than likely there would be a refund as a result. The initial project cost came in at $37,655.28, but because the crew needed more wood, I ended up paying $37,922.02, a difference of $255.74. At $4.34 per quoted square foot, that's an additional 59 square feet of wood, where the initial proposal included 96 square feet of wood, for a total of 155 square feet of wood. That's a 61% estimation error.
I paid a premium price for what I had hoped would be very good work, and I was disappointed.
Commination on the work site
They were quick clean and affordable
As of 2/6 you have charged my checking account and with drawn $47,361.91.....Why???
Power has excellent products for all home remodeling needs. Everyone in the company who I’ve came in contact with demonstrated superior knowledge and expertise.
I got an estimate from one gentleman. An estimate for all my windows and a patio door. I chose just to do the patio door. I was told my price for everything was never going to change. I was told I couldn’t back out when I signed.Next the man who comes and remeasures says I was quoted incorrect amount. That went up over a thousand more. I am stunned but listen to him say my outside light is too close to the door and he has to use a different door than the one I ordered. The day they installed my door. A woman comes in and explains to me that the price I was quoted for the rest of the windows has gone up. But what about the guarantee? Some story about building cost going up. I guarantee I won’t be calling to order any more windows. I believe it’s called bait n switch? Oh everyone was polite and sweet but I need a price that doesn’t change from one day to the next. It would be nice if someone would come back and finish installing the pieces that had to be left off for the inspector to see.
They were amazing, from the marketing people to the people I had to deal with in the office and the workers on-site. Everybody was just amazing! I knew they were giving me an honest appraisal of what the problems were with my home. I had over 200 pictures. They gave me documentation about what was going on throughout the whole process. I had tons of documentation on everything. I had 200 pictures of the house!
Power was prompt and on time. Everything was completed.
I didn't like the sales tactics, which I didn't listen to.
The quality of their work looks good.

My experience has been stressful.
Every interaction from the knock on the door to the remodeling consultant, project manager, quality assurance team member have been respectful, informative they have completed what was contracted and expected to our satisfaction. The workers doing the work were professional and knew what they were doing. We remain satisfied with the work completed. Thank you.
Power Home Remodeling is very professional and knowledgeable in their field. They communicate clearly and in a timely manner.
