I live in a D R Horton home and only front gutters were installed. Is this to say only front gutters are necessary for my type of home specification?

In our opinion, gutters should be installed anywhere that the pitch of the roof causes water to shed.
What are the advantages/disadvantages of having asphalt roof shingles applied over my existing roof?

It is not usually worth it in my opinion and especially given the nature of most leaks and the condition of most sheathing.
