Great people to work with; very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable design staff committed to providing quality product. Products and services pretty pricy though; be prepared for lots of sticker shocks. Custom product info and problem follow-ups difficult to get resolved; do-it-yourselfers might be hesitant.

Is it normal for new gutters to "snap" as they cool down in the evening?

It is tough to say allthough tt can be normal assuming the gutters/fascia are metal and in an area of the home that receives direct sunlight (enough to cause expansion and contraction).  IMO

What kind of insulation is needed in the attic of my 2-story brick town house so that the 2nd floor bedrooms are as cool as the basement and 1st floor?

R-49 also ventilation is very important to have soffit vent as well as roof vent to keep the attic cool and dry.
