The process from the start was very well organized and professional.
100% we will always recommend AHP to friends and family.
I really appreciate how they back their work and work to fix anything that may need addressing.
Overall, this was a very good company to work with. All costs were made known and there were no surprises. As we lived out of state during our build, the frequent posted pics of our home were much appreciated. The company was responsive to our frequent questions, and were available to meet on site during our monthly visits to check on progress made.
It's a nice house, but it was VERY sloppily done.
Yes, my beautiful home speaks for itself.
The quality of work is fairly poor. The longer I'm in the house, the more low quality work I see.
The quality of work for some of the sub contractors was lacking. For example, the tongue and groove in the vaulted ceiling was very poorly done the first time around; it was fixed partially. On going concern is the driveway that has numerous cracks and appears to be disintegrating in places. This issue is still outstanding.
Everyone at America's Home Place was helpful, knowledgeable, detail oriented, competent, and truly cared about making our new house the home we desired.
Everything went well. Very happy with the outcome.
AHP built the house on time, for the agreed-upon price, at the best possible quality for the price. I and my family watched carefully during the entire process and we were always impressed with the skill and execution displayed by the builder teams who worked on the house. We would recommend AHP to anyone building a home in this day and age. Their corporate practices contain cost, use good quality materials and workmanship. They meet their project deadlines and achieve a great result!
We love that AHP has a lot of layout options to choose from. We also appreciated being able to see an in-progress home during our purchase process. However, the overall build process took twice as long as expected, and many of the mistakes/delays seemed to be avoidable. We learned that having the right project manager overseeing the construction project and strong subcontractors were key in keeping things moving.
Being a available at all times and meeting needs promptly
More training with those folks who coordinate building on your own land that is rural. It's different than building in an area that has utilities available. Coordination of soil scientist, grader, and builder could have been done better. It caused a nearly two month last start on the build.
Amy was incredibly with helping modify their plans to come up with a design that worked for us. She listened to our request and applied that to her redesign. It took several tries but she never complained. You will be very happy with their desire to make your house YOUR perfect (nearly perfect - nothing in life is perfect) HOME. Make sure you are honest in what you want to achieve. She can't design your thoughts without knowing what the ultimate goal is. We were very raw and open about what we wanted the final result to be: open concept, large kitchen island, floors that last, lots of sunlight, den/carolina room with lots of sun, and office/bedroom for the wife that also serves as a yoga/meditation/reading getaway room They NAILED it.
They lacked quality control at each stage of the build and subcontracted everybody out without any oversight.
The patience, and understanding that the company provided from start to end.
We will definitely recommend America's Home Place to our friends and family!
I recommend America’sHome Place to everyone looking to build a new house.
The Anderson office in which we were forced to deal with due to our home build and property being in Pickens County, is lacking project management experience to build upscale homes in a quality process.
America’s Home Place went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the design and the additional features I requested. I am not their typical customer, so they definitely had to accommodate me in a few ways.
Very accommodating service.
They provided clarity about pricing from the beginning, provided a great looking home, and listened to and served us well! I would do this again!
We were very satisfied with Americas Home Place and would recommend them to anyone interested in building a custom home.
We were waiting over 16 months for them to begin then we were told we couldn't put the house on our land but apparently we could after ore deal. Paperwork was completed wrong and we had to pay out $24,000 to even get the house...I don't recommend anyone working with the rocky mount office unless you talk to Nelson.
