The Cabinetry’s roots date back to 1960 when Marlene Ketchen’s grandfather Norman MacDonald started manufacturing cabinetry under the name MacDonald Kitchens. Before long, all five of his sons, including Marlene’s father, Paul, became involved in the family business.
Eventually, Paul and his brother, Frank spun off the business into a company that manufactured cabinetry hardware. During this venture, Paul invented the popular “Shelf Lock,” a product that revolutionized the cabinetry shipping process. The new product allows cabinetry to be shipped with the shelves installed. Paul and Frank were the sole owners of the product patent for 25 years and it is still used today.
We display two types of written homeowner feedback on GuildQuality member profile pages: Comments and Reviews.
In response to our customer satisfaction surveys, homeowners share lots of comments about construction quality, communication, or any other question asked in the survey. Guildmembers can selectively publish these comments here on their profile page.
Reviews are different than comments. These are star ratings that homeowners ask us to publish, and they come with a written description of the type of experience they had working with their contractor. We publish all of the reviews we receive: positive and negative alike.
