Arc faults can trip easily.  "Updated the electrical" is a broad term.  It is hard to judge if this is substandard work without knowing the scope of work or if permits were obtained.  Did they have pe ... read more
We had new quartz countertop installed in our kitchen and shortly after a plate was dropped on the countertop - the plate broke and scratched the counter

I would suggest calling the original installer and let them buff it out.
