Dependable Service Plumbing & Air was started by David Sodano, a plumber who moved to Myrtle Beach from Boston in 2004. From 2004 to 2012 David and his wife, Michele, grew the company to four employees plus the two of them.

In 2012 Gerry Voorhees, present CEO, purchased half of the business and that's when things really took off. From 2012 to 2022 under Voorhees' business leadership Dependable Service has gone from a small plumbing company employing six people to 35 plus employees.

I have a ranch-style brick house and I'd like to give it a facelift. Do you recommend painting brick or will it be a lot of maintenance/work in the long-run?

Try Shewin Williams Loxon XP which is for Masonry.  It lasts a very long time and no need to prime.
For a six-foot retaining wall, do you recommend concrete or blocks? If blocks, what kind of products do you recommend?

You need to make sure that the material allows water to pass thru the block or stone.  Both choices can allow water thru if planned ahead.  Blocks can have weep holes that allow water to pass and many ... read more
