Despite the windows are high quality the installation is a messed. Is not esthetic and the sealing was done wrong. There is a gap between the windows and the frames and the sealing has shrunk

I have had all of my windows replaced 8 years ago, a new set of doors to my deck and an outside door on my garage installed by Universal Windows, One of my windows had a problem staying open, and had a broken sash, and my storm door was sticking open. Universal Windows came out and repaired both problems quickly and completely under their warranty program
Important Factors - Quality, cost, energy efficiency and durability. I like the lifetime warranty. It brings security.
Additional Comments - It was full of integrity and that's hard to find these days.

Overall, it was a great experience purchasing windows from Universal Windows Direct.
Damaged windows installed, windows for entire house (same windows) do not match (atrium stacked locations that are also different sizes due to incorrect measurements). Damaged existing siding, decking, stamped concrete patio during installation, patio sliders incorrectly installed creating an extreme threshold and also high point top which makes them difficult to slide open because they are basically racked, front single window installed on an angle and not centered in opening, front double window install pushed to exterior of house (2" beyond the exterior wood trim), late in the day the installer could not figure out how to trim it so they added vinyl trim which looks horrible and is embarrassing as the front face of our home. Will definitely leak. We have waited since July for Universal to correct this issue. We have to initiate the calls and as of 25 Oct 2024 we still have no idea on a full scope of work for corrective actions, as to how and what they are going to do to correct all these issues. They have are aware and in agreement and have stated we will love our windows and doors when they are done. I no longer have faith that this will happen. We have been trying to be as patient as possible before posting a bad review....but this is beyond ridiculous at this point. We are holding up other scheduled renovations which now are going to push into the holidays and winter....exterior work that now will most likely go to next spring. Cannot express how disappointed that we have saved up so long to spend this kind of money for the result we currently have. This has been literally like a fly by night out of state contractor that just packed up and left us with horrible products, installation and damage. We are also still finding nails, sharp vinyl trim pieces and other random parts in our yard, stuck through the deck boards and on the patio, Damaged landscaping as well. Horrible Horrible Horrible.

While their warranty is lifetime, after one year, we are charged $149.99 for a service call. This was not in affect when we purchased the window & I do not feel we should have to pay that now! Going forward, I will not purchase any more windows from them because of this new fee. I hope that $149.99 fee is worth the loss of the remaining 30 windows we need replaced!
Overall, the product itself is pretty good, the service however, leaves very little to be desired. Nothing like taking 2 years to fix a window that your technician broke. Then trying to actually charge us a service charge to come out and to replace it, which the first time, didn't fit the window frame, so we had to wait another couple of months to get it. A total of 2-1/2 years passed from when the windows were installed to when the broken sash was finally replaced.

the actual experience was great and I would recommend, but I would warn them of their excessively aggressive follow-up routine. Their script is tiresome. There is very little heart in the follow-up. It might as well be a robot.

Overall Experience - Joshua has excellent customer service skills that surpasses all the other representatives that came to my home, He cares about his clients and shows compassion, he listens attentively and has expert knowledge about his company's product. I enjoyed doing business with hi, a person that I can trust with my project.
Price was right. Product was warranted for life. All questions were answered. Installation was on time and correct the first
time. Installers were fast and cleaned up everything. Very happy with their service.
