Right up front we were assured that when the Kowalski workers were done, we would not be able to tell that anything had been done. After spending three weeks cleaning up all the white plaster dust that was scattered throughout our home, we know that was an exaggeration.
When I called to follow up. The company did not know what I was calling about.
Their work was top quality and they conducted themselves very professionally.

Kowalski has not done work for us. We are getting estimates at this time.
Kowalski Construction was efficient and careful during the rebuild for a fire loss. They over came many challenges with supplies being delivered due to Covid -19.
They were prompt so do the initial water damage work. I have been waiting 3weeks for them to submit repair work quote to insurance company. I guess they are not interested in someone and leave their bathroom torn apart for 5 weeks.
I was very happy with the workers. Tom and his team were a pleasure to work with, however Lothar was somewhat pushy and would come into our house without ringing the doorbell. We had our garage worked on, so no reason to come into our home without notification. Lothar also came to the job site and sat and was talking to the workers for no reason. He spent like 20+ minutes chatting when the workers should have been working. Tom has now left Kowalski, but he was a great worker and a nice personality. Lawrence who worked on the painting part of the job did an excellent job as well. Dealing with Lothar was the worse part of my experience, everyone else was great.

Timeliness was an issue. At the beginning, the timing was good, but after the contract was signed, they got slower. There were a lot of moving parts and communication, or lack thereof, was an early problem. They said the job needed a permit, but they didn't apply for the permit until quite a bit after. The permit itself didn't take that job.
Kowalski has been amazing! The finished product is better than we could have imagined.

Kowalski helped us through a very upsetting and confusing process when our home was damaged by a fire in an attached unit. Kowalski management was capable and responsive, quality of construction repair was excellent and the pack back process was well done.
Expertise - True of all aspects of our projects. We required remediation work following a water leak and then repainting of the affected areas. The remediation team led by Marvin was very very good. Painting was handled by Ron Sadik and Tom Urmston - both did a superb job.
Communication - Particularly true with regard to job estimating, change orders and related work. Ms. Priscilla Billera handled this aspect of our project and was exceptional in her prompt and professional approach.
Areas For Improvement - None whatsoever. In fact, they exceeded expectations in all categories.
Areas Of Satisfaction - Three areas in particular stood out: professionalism in dealing with customers; the quality of their on-site workmanship which exhibited a special attention to the 'fit and finish' aspects of the job; and, the personal integrity of their staff, whether in the back office or on the field site.

Kowalski Construction was courteous, knowledgeable, and walked us through every step of our "disaster". While they may see this every day, they understood that to us, it was a stressful ordeal. We were 3,000 miles away, and Brad kept us up to date constantly on the progress through calls and photos. He made us feel that he cared about our home.

Additional Comments - Kowalski was in the middle of the job when I started at Santa Fe Springs. They were courteous, professional and answered all the questions asked.
