Harth did an excellent job with a one-room remodel, creating a beautiful and professional space. I would certainly recommend Harth to anyone who wants a high-quality design and build experience with the ability to incorporate some custom details into the design process. The only downside I would call-out is that Harth is among the most expensive options we considered.

We started this process over two years before we even signed paperwork. Greg was willing to answer a million questions and come to our house multiple times to help us decide what direction made most sense and was most in line with our end goals.

This is the second time I've used Harth Home Services for work at my house, and they are responsive and thorough.
Our previous experience with Harth was very positive. However, in this case the Harth representative who managed our project did not seem invested in ensuring the project went smoothly. One example: When a quote from a subcontractor came back incomplete, he said to us "maybe he didn't want to bid on that part of the job," rather than getting back to the subcontractor to ask about it - which we would have expected him to do before sharing the quote with us. This sort of thing happened over and over again. It seemed to us that he felt his sole job was to assign a subcontractor and let us deal with managing the rest. While the end result was satisfactory, we were quite frustrated with how it went, and would not recommend Harth based on this job. Our dissatisfaction was mostly with this one person - others we've interacted with at Harth have been responsive and proactive. Overall, I'm on the fence as to whether to use Harth again, or recommend their services.
Harth has a 2 year warranty on all of their work; they stand behind all of the work that's contracted; this is SO important to me!

Everything was done quickly, efficiently, and, I think, well but was very, very expensive. It appears that they carry a lot of overhead which, of course, gets passed on to the customer.

We appreciate the openness to creative/wacky ideas that Harth provided during this project. No one laughed when we proposed a pool in a basement that didn't exist. Instead, they helped us make that a reality! The design of the new space, as well as the real time adjustments, were always focused on our needs and our style. We appreciate being a part of the trade team, as some activities we opted to complete ourselves. As for oversight and keeping all balls in the air, we can't say enough about the project management! The focus on quality and workmanship was ever-present. We always had peace of mind during the build and feel good that it will continue through our warranty period.

Harth is a group of the highest quality skilled designers and builders. They are truly an “all in one” operation. They are well organized, knowledgeable, and produce some of the very best work I’ve seen in the the Philadelphia suburban area. They’re a pleasure to work with.
It is expensive, and it takes a long time.
Harth is focused on large suburban projects and does those well. They are not a good fit for smaller urban renovations due to the lack of consistent oversight and deprioritization of these smaller projects.
