Overall was pretty satisfied, however, the windows to be replaced upstairs were incorrectly quoted as inserts and therefore we did not replace those. The process also took much longer with having to have them come back out to remeasure everything. The tile installation was not ideal with the cracked tiles and missing grout/caulk that needed to be fixed after the fact.
A little more expensive, but have never been disappointed with results, every time we have been very pleased

We had new windows installed by Callen back in 2015 or so and absolutely loved the service, professionalism, communication and even the work crew. All was amazing. There was no question we turned to them for our next project. However, this experience has been disappointing to say the least. I’m not sure I would recommend Callen to my friends and family.

Strong until the walk through.
The issue that I found, was that even though the caliber of the craftsmanship was very high, I had issues with an electrician not following the design. I worked very closely with the designer on the design. I expected there to be no deviations from that design. There was also a defective sink and faucet, both being Kohler products and a cabinet. The cabinet was ordered in the wrong color. The sink and toilet were delayed by about 6 weeks. They shouldn't have started the project until all of the Callen products were on site. I had to make sure I had cabinet handles at my home before they would even give me a start date. Their products should have been here. The project started 7 weeks too early. I had issues with the products that did arrive, and issues with the the electrician putting an outlet in where they had no business putting that outlet there. They didnt' ask me about it.
We were extremely happy with the work overall. We have had about 10 remodel projects over the past 30 years at this house and we have dealt with good and bad. You are definitely at the top of our list!!

They had great customer service. Christopher Wittmann was a wonderful sales representative. The installation team was great. They communicated well, and I was comfortable having them replace the windows. They were efficient and did a great job cleaning up.
Callen has been are go to firm for 20 years.
I would recommend they meet initially with Heather and avoid having the project manager I had.

Excellent products and service
Excellent product, window installation and detailed trim finishing. These cold days we've had this year really showed the benefit of a new window.
Overall experience was not great. We had some early issues in our project and it just went downhill from there. Once we got off schedule, we felt like we basically got shuffled to the back burner, where someone might come if another job cancelled, or finished early. A lot of the further delays could have been avoided if project management was proactive about double checking that supplies were ACTUALLY received as they were told, and that those supplies were correct. Instead, an installer was sent to our project, only to find out they didn't have the right materials that had been supposedly backordered for weeks. The amount of interior trim was incorrectly estimated twice, so we ran out two different times, and had to wait for 2 separate backorders. We felt like we were being blamed by project management for these issues as well, from the tone of the conversations that happened during/after the incidents. Ultimately everything was resolved but the install took about 3 months to complete. In fact the project still isn't done because some components (which could easily have been done earlier) were put off till the end, and then it was too cold to complete (like painting the top of our arch window trim that was installed in early October). Then we were made to feel like it was our fault that it couldn't get done and that the trim would go "unprotected" for an extended period of time because of something we did.
Callen Construction will be my first call for any future projects. They did excellent work and made everything easy from the initial consult to the finishing touches.
