We have suspended all meetings, gatherings, and employee interactions. Most of our call center and administration staff is working from home. We are still installing products.
I'm pleased with the quality of their work in all the projects they have completed in my home.

This score is totally due to the extremely poor communication from most everyone involved with this. There are only 3 people who have communicated properly and given accurate information as to what was going on. We were told 8-10 weeks to get the project going, Brian says he said 10-12 weeks so ok I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Why did I then have to call several times at week 13-14 to even get an update on what was going on? You should have reached out to me, not the other way around. Then we kept getting told by everyone, until Brandon finally called and gave me an accurate explanation of what was going on, that it's a shipping delay, then a manufacturing issue and so on and so forth. Then Evan decides to call my wife and try to tell her another story and she expresses to him her dissatisfaction at the whole process and he began to be extremely rude and disrespectful and proceeded to tell my wife when she asked to speak to his supervisor that he was the boss and there was no one higher than himself and that he had a lot of customers pissed off at the company for this same issue. He began to explain to my wife that with this COVID situation we were in unprecedented times and she just needed to understand that. What he doesn't understand is that she knows better than anyone about the times we are in because, as a nurse practitioner with her own practice, she has been dealing directly on the front lines of this pandemic since it started. Wow, what a great way to treat a customer who spent who purchased a product they didn't have that was weeks overdue and were we have had to reach out almost every time we wanted an update. Not a good look and definitely no way to speak to anyone, when I called the office to speak to someone who was part of the executive team I got a call back from Erica, I went over all of this and she asked to give her a chance to get this handled and she would get back to me after she spoke to the person who does the scheduling to get more details, she said it would probably be 7-10 days before they could start but she would let me know something. Never herd back, called and she said she had not spoken to them and she would let me know. Didn't hear back again and so I called back again, at day 10 or 11 from our first conversation and I had to leave a voicemail. Then Brandon called me and said they were ready to schedule the install and they would start the following Monday. Not sure if Erica called him to call me or not because she never returned my call. Once they got started Anthony and Sam were awesome, they showed up early everyday to get started and worked hard in the heat and humidity to get it installed but they didn't rush it and did an awesome job. They communicated with me extremely well and kept me up-to-date on the progress, Brandon called one to check up on the progress as well and then sent me a text to make sure everything was good after it was complete. So Brandon, Anthony and Sam were the only ones to have any decent communication and the product itself looks great and we are very pleased with the final product. We are reasonable people and understand shipping and supply issues that this pandemic has forced upon us but what we don't understand is not treating your clients with respect and making sure you stay in touch with them, not the other way around, and giving them accurate information not just telling them what you think they want to hear to shut them up. I don't think the pandemic caused a communication breakdown that's just poor service and despite how excellent the product it, this is the story I have to tell and that is something that was completely preventable.

we had waited a very long time to make the decision to get new windows. only had american home design come out for estimate and made the decision on the spot. had to wait a while for installation date but all went well and we are so glad we finally did it. our old 49 year old house now looks like a new one. just wish we had done it sooner.

Our experience with American Home Design was not a good one until the very end of the project when the actual building team made most things right. We felt like we were sometimes ignored and found ourselves regularly calling to get project updates. We understood there were delays due to COVID, but the simple screened in porch (that already had 2 existing walls) shouldn’t have taken 9 1/2 months from the time we made our deposit. The work done building our deck was a mess and had to be redone, the roof leaked (water actually poured in) and the skylights were not the correct ones that should have been used. Thank goodness the team finally deconstructed the porch and started over resulting in the porch we should have had all along. The deck is still not right.
