Great staff and good design and build quality
High quality homes and great service. The cost of building a home right now is high and the salaries in the area are typically low so there aren't many people who can afford the homes currently being built. I would absolutely refer a friend to buy a "used" home that Stateson built because the quality is great.
Additional Comments - Karen and Jade have been great partners. They and John Shelor really seem like they care and provided a good experience.
Schedule - It's remarkable that they were able to stay on schedule despite all of the labor and supply shortages.

Every employee I have encountered with Stateson has been wonderful to work with, and I commend your staff on their professionalism. However, excellent interpersonal skills do not make up for a subpar product. I have a very long list of items that need to be addressed, and we are 75 days past the 45 day mark- and have not had our 45 day eval. I have also had issues with workmanship from your tradesmen/ subs. I have also not been impressed with the way Stateson has left the community after the last house has been completed. The neighborhood needs to be cleaned up. Communication is lacking from Stateson to homeowners.
I have lived here for over a year and love it. I only can say good things about the homes and neighborhood

We have built several homes in our long marriage, and never enjoyed a smoother process and more dependable team or more competent, kind and professional people than Stateson Homes.

Our overall experience was very good. The floorplans were good, and we are very happy with our home. That said, some of the default design choices were ridiculous for a $470,000 home purchase. Upsells which would be defaults on other homes built at this price point added significantly to our final cost, and because those are done only at the Design Center meeting with no ability to plan ahead we had to scramble to find the additional money to make the house not builder-grade across the board. Communication was initially spotty but a change in Project Manager on our build improved things significantly.
At this price point you could get larger and luxury house alswhere. I feel

Lead Source - I already owned a home with Stateson Homes. We are now buying a second home with them. We know about them because we used to frequent the restaurants in the town center.
Everything about working with Stateson Homes has been the absolute best, from the very 1st phone call to today, a month after our closing. We recommend them to everyone we meet!
Schedule - They somehow managed to keep to our schedule despite a late window addition in the middle of Covid supply chain hell. We were/are very pleased.

Building a house is a complicated process, and we have done so in several states across the country. Stateson has been excellent in all aspects of the process. We especially appreciated the quality of the build/features and the ability to add non-standard/custom options.
It takes a lot of effort by the buyer to make sure things are done right. The PM's are great, but in the process of getting it done there were a lot of issues.
