The quality of the material in the house and the workmanship of the contractors were above what we originally expected.
I already did, and they have already signed a contract.
The home was a great quality home with a fair price. The contractors were great, and everyone worked to fit my individual needs.
Great company to have you make a house for you I am very very happy with my new home. Great great place I recommend them to everyone. Thank you so much from michael turner
Red Door Homes was able to build the small home we wanted with our budget in mind. We were very happy with the end result UNTIL WE MOVED IN....... when we started to experience quality issues. Our Kitchen counter top was warped and the bottom cabinet it sat on was not squared. It took 3 tries to get it right with the exception of squaring it. Because the flooring was cut to the cabinet, movement to square it was limited. It is better now, but still not squared. What cabinet company doesn't square off cabinets? Our dishwasher was found to be wired for 220 and burned it up while running it for the first time. We had to have it replaced and the wiring redone. During our build, the plumbers were installing our shower stall before the insulators came. We were told by Mark that insulators would do their job first then the shower stall would be installed. That did not happen. We still don't know if there is insulation there or not. I guess we will find out this winter. Our bathroom shower stall squeaked and we found out that the stall was never installed on the foot supports, and was fastened only to the wall. The plumber came out and drilled a hole in the bedroom wall and filled the area of the shower floor with canned insulation foam. When that didn't fix the problem, we ended up having the manufacturer representative for the shower stall come out. Unfortunately, the plumber had to come out again, per the representative, and cut a hole in the bedroom wall to remove all the filler that was placed there because it was not the right fix. The representative then came out and ended up drilling holes into the stall floor and filled with a special sealer. It was also noted at this time, that our drain from the home was misaligned with the shower stall from about a quarter of an inch. Our builder Marc saw pictures of these issues. Our siding warped on the one side of the home in a few short months, and ended up being improperly installed by the company. They had to come out, remove the existing siding, replace some of the underlying plywood, and replace the siding. The nails on the siding were found to be completely sunk in causing the warping. We are still waiting for our stonework on the front gable to be re-grouted as there are holes in it for bugs to get in, and the grout is crumbling in places. We felt that the subcontractors used by Red Door were not quality minded, and felt our builder really did not stay on top them by inspecting each phase of our build. As we look back on this project, we are amazed that every aspect on our home had issues during the build, and we were only a 660 square foot home. Maybe they provide better quality on larger homes.
It's been a great experience. It's a very nice house, a very good deal, and very good people to deal with. If I had the money I would do it again.
Very impressed with how smoothly the construction went and how helpful they were. Definitely recommend them to anyone who is looking into building their house.
Good people when everything got going, but then things would be going back and forth.
Still waiting on repairs
The workers were exceptional. They made me feel like a queen. They're not out here to fast talk you or get you to buy something -- they want you to take your time. They were with me every step of the way. They went above and beyond their duties, and I truly mean that. They did a tremendous job.
They sold us really well up front but did not follow through as strong as they represented themselves.
Likes & Dislikes - I like that I was able to choose everything.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The craftsmanship of the house was very nice.
They did a great job and have a good staff that were responsive. I would use them again and recommend them often.
Additional Comments - Overall would recommend and have 2 already that are under contract with red door
There were various issues with completing the construction, such as weather and planning. They shouldn't give a completion/move in date with so many other projects going on. After moving in, Red Door was on top of the key issues I found during the final walk through. They corrected all issues to my satisfaction.
Jennifer took really great care of us. I am likely to recommend Red Door Homes to a friend.
Red Door has been nothing but Awesome to our family. I would highly recommend.
Very good company to work with always available to address any of my concerns eeenjoyed my processes great job
We are very pleased with the completed home by Red Door. We received prices from three different contractors and decided to go with them because of professional appearance and provided references. We needed a company that we could really depend on and trust since we were living in Maryland and the home was being built in North Carolina. Red Door employees keep us updated every step of the way and proved that they were the builder that we needed. Project foreman Charlie Fagan was outstanding and I would strongly recommend him to anyone who was planning to build on their own lot . From sales (Jackie Alphin) to the finished beautiful home, all staff was exceptional. Special thanks to Tom Stafford for keeping all the pieces moving. Thanks,Millers

Additional Comments - Overall good experience. I would recommend them and use them again.
The start process was fun and simple. Very knowledgeable and courteous staffers. We got started on construction in August after they switched to a different project manager. At that point we was two months behind. Project manager now has made such huge progress and we can't hardly wait til it's completed.
Great team of people at this company.
The entire process was chaos, I was given VERY inexperieced people to handle my home, mistakes were made, delays cost me more money. I am currently paying FULL interest this month, not on the principle and I am still unable to move into my house though it has been completed for over 3 weeks. Red Door will not tell me how much money they spent so I still don't know if I'm getting anything back. The bank Red Door recommeneded is also dragging their feet and I just got a late notice of payment(of full amount 195k with late interests/payments and reporting me to the credit agency) despite makeing all my payments on time with receipts. If my credit is affected I will be contacting my attorney. The communication has been almost non existant and I have to email/call multiple people at Red Door to get an answer. No one said anything about a second closing with the bank.
yes, I referred my PARENTS!
I would not recommend to a friend because of the start I had with Red Door Home, however finishing the project was fine. The first contractor I had ended up being fired for not doing his job and we were delayed 5 months on our project, it was a year before we were in the house.
Our overall experience with Blue Ribbon was very positive. We have thoroughly enjoyed the addition that they did for us. We would work with them again as soon as we have enough money.
Brytons Home Improvement's team is professional from the salesperson to the installation crew. They were very courteous, professional and answered all of our questions. They were very expedient in getting the work done.
The job they did for us was completed very satisfactorily, and we would highly recommend Brytons Down East to other people. I appreciate a job well done!
