Response
Hitchcock Hardwoods   The spot Pam is talking about is in the kitchen and most likely cooking grease or oil. When we apply stain it is buffed in and can be walked on almost immediately therefore it was not a foot print and didn't even resemble one. I immediately gave the options to repair the spot and I stressed the only true option to make the floors perfect was to resand, because patch work never works 100%. Pam wanted to try every other option and one option looked 100%, but she still wasn't happy. Sanding cannot get oil and grease out if it penetrated too deep. We did what needed to be done to get it looking good.
