My experience with Henderer Design and Build was great. The amount of time spent planning my bathroom remodel all lead to a very stressless and successful experience. Would highly recommend and would use again.

Reason for no 5-star is there was some attention to detail that was missed. I would have liked to have seen the project manager and designer out on sight a bit more to be sure all expectation between designer, builder, and customer were on the same page.

They stayed on schedule. The workers were all friendly, on time and cleaned up after themselves. Questions and concerns were promptly addressed.

Our house was designed and built on a forested hill outside Corvallis, OR while we lived in Houston, TX the entire time. This massive project was totally handled by Henderer Design & Build (HD&B). It started when Dave Henderer met as on the property to determine if and where we could build what we wanted. With Dave’s assessment, we completed the land purchase and commissioned HD&B to design and build our house.
Henderer’s creative and professional design team worked closely with us via email and a software screen-sharing program to design the house. We provided lists of what we wanted in the house and they had us start a Houzz ideabook illustrating features and finishes from other houses that we like. They provided suggestions and choices on finishes and light fixtures, and we occasionally provided counter proposals. Final choices were recorded in Trello by the design team so there was no doubt about what was to be built. Because of the Covid-19 crisis, we were only able to visit twice to help decide on finishes. HD&B also provided detailed, color images of what various rooms would look like. As a consequence, just about everything turned out as good or even better than we imagined.
Besides building the house, HD&B arranged for our property to be logged and the house site to be excavated, with the loggers doing part of the excavation. They also installed the septic system, hooked up our water well, and provided all the water-processing equipment. In addition, they arranged for our driveway to be paved, and for the fence and window treatments to be installed. They also recommended a landscaper; ideally landscaping should have started earlier, but it worked out for the best because it helped immensely for us to see the property when working with the landscaper.
After we moved in, HD&B was very good about fixing the inevitable problems that we encountered, and promise to come back after a year to remediate effects of shifting that a new house undergoes.
We totally love the design and quality of our house. We are very glad we chose Henderer for the project!
