I liked the fact that Shaun, the main contractor, was very willing to do stuff like give me design advice which wasn't really his job. He did it well and had good ideas. He didn't just do the building, he really had a hand in the design in good way. All of the people who worked for him were nice, it was just a completely pleasant experience from start to finish.

Communication - With Eclectic Builders, the communication began at the initial interview and the bidding process. Their total availability to answer and ask questions from the beginning carried throughout our project. Of course, it has to be a dialogue between the builders and the clients. My husband and I went into the project with Eclectic Builders with shared enthusiasm and common goals, clearly articulated.

Problem Resolution

Problem Resolution - A complicated renovation — floors, equipment, plaster, electrics — will always have hiccups: Mostly in the area of suppliers not delivering goods such as tile or ovens on schedule. Eclectic stayed a step ahead of these kinds of interruptions. If something didn't arrive to begin Task A, they immediately switched to Task B. They lost no days because of "unforeseen events," and we lost no sleep.

During our 6-month-long renovation, the Eclectic team was always in motion — accomplishing the task at hand or tidying up and making ready for the next task.
