Schedule - The time frame for job completion was 3-5 months, and actual completion was 9 months. There were some delays caused by Covid considerations, and we increased the scope of the project some. The biggest delay was with the cabinetry manufacturer, Michael Edwards, but we believe Cross made reasonable efforts to move that aspect along.

Value - The level of craftsmanship, professionalism, and communication we received from Cross made this project a fair value for the price.

Project Lead Communication - Sunni was beyond amazing. I sit here trying to think of words to convey how happy we are with how she managed the project. Yes the project took longer than projected but it was due to issues that came up, as they always seem to in construction, but she was right on top of them. She was easy to communicate with. We could easily see she loved her work and working for CROSS, very professional and competent.

CROSS Employees - Well everyone on site were but I just want to single out Bryan. WOW talk about a find; CROSS has a diamond that is already sharp on all the edges. I'm from a craftsman family and attempt to be in my work as well so I know one when I see one and Bryan is. He cares about his craft and his craftsmanship. He knows what to do and has honed the skills to do beautiful work. Even the tedious stuff he strove to make it as perfect as possible. He was organized, careful to keep things as picked up/clean as possible. The other CROSS employees that worked on the project here and there showed the same pride and dedication to their craft. And for he most part all the sub-contractors and their employees were very organized and professional. Yuke's electrical and Eliot's landscaping are our new go to companies for anything in their areas. Big Bexar septic did a good job, there were issues but most were out of their control. it is by it's nature disruptive and messy work so we get it. The telephone line and property line issues were problematic but everything worked out.

Quality Of Materials - I'm really hoping this epoxy marine clear coat holds up to the Texas heat and UV light damage better than what was used the first time. That is a bit of an experiment for CROSS as well as us.

Value - In terms of work completed and quality of workmanship absolutely. We will see if the investment in the epoxy paint that I insisted in upgrading to was a wise decision. But that was something I wanted. I appreciate the effort that went into finding the product use. Time will tell on that one.

Cross Construction had done a average size project at my home in 2013 (moving walls and plumbing) and a small project in 2017. When I made the decision to make my home my ‘forever home’ (too many memories of watching my kids grow), I decided the kitchen was too small. Expanding the kitchen meant, not only taking out walls and changing plumbing but this time it also meant removing support beams and placing the appropriate reinforcement. I knew there was only one company I would trust with a project of this size. They completed the project with the highest professionalism and integrity in the middle of the pandemic.
