My bathroom shower is beautiful.
They were here every time work was scheduled even coming early. They were professional, respectful and a pleasure to work with, i would recommend them in a minute.
I would definitely recommend Long Home as they were very professional, courteous and timely.
The quality of work was good, and when the installation finally happened it was good. The only reason I am taking a star off is because once the contact was signed, I had to reach out to them after 2 months of not hearing anything.
They did an excellent job, but it is awfully costly.
A 1 day job, great guysand a beautiful shower for me!
There were many bumps in the road to my installation. Beginning with my consultation which ended with him telling his manager I kicked him out of the house. Which was completely false. Because of that Timothy Thomas got involved. He was fabulous. He was certain I would not call back after our very long talk to request an install. But, a number of months later I called. He put me in contact with the local installation group. I was given an appt for someone to come do a final measurement. Anthony did not show up nor did he or his manager call to tell me he had a family emergency. After I called, less than happy and questioning why I chose Long Bath, they sent someone else later that day. Before install I told them that there was an amendment to my contract and that we had removed the shower curtain rod from the contract and would be using a tension rod until I was ready to make a decision. They came on install day and I was in and out during the installation. When I returned and they were cleaning up, they had put up the rod. No one looked for the amended contract but I spoke to Jason that morning and we were chatting about what to do about a shower curtain vs. a glass door. Not the installers fault, though no one spoke English and they never reviewed the contract with me when they arrived. So two days later they were back to remove the two sidewalls and the rod and reinstall just the side walls and to put the shelves back up. Then another day or so later, I saw that one of the shelves was not straight. So they sent them back out to rectify that. Through all this Timothy Thomas was constantly checking I with me. And at this point I felt like they should just have thrown the shower door in at not cost for all the aggravation the company had caused at this point. I can't say whether I would recommend Long Bath to someone else. I would like to say that this is not their normal course of doing business. However, their internal and external communication definitely needs to be improved.
There is certainly more detail to this story that can be told, but then I would be writing a complete book.
Great work was done very professional, however wrong color roof tiles and gutter covers was installed. Gutters covers was replaced. We kept the roof tiles didn't want them removed the workers did a outstanding job and the tiles did look good.
The work was done as agreed, and I was very happy with the workers and with the results.
Onsite Supervision of work could have been better. PM just stopped by and said he was receiving pictures throughout the process.
When replacing my roof, great. Repairing a window that won't open, horrible.
My new shower is beautiful! Looks like a magazine cover. Scott was the best ever. One day and done!
Long Home didn't really complete the job.
Aside from the “timeshare” tactics … our consultant was warm, friendly and very informative. It’s just the “you can’t say ‘no’ to me.”
I can’t give you this deal once I leave. Now, it may not be exactly what she said, but it is definitely what I heard. ( Years ago we got trapped into a timeshare and were finally able to get out of it for almost what we paid for it ….) Over the years we had to go back “just to sign some papers”and it turned out they wanted more money from us. My husband lost it on them….Any way, that kind of sales pitch makes my skin crawl.
Then we get a call from Long Home giving us a price much closer to what we had discussed with our plumber. So why not be above board and give your lowest price during the nice demonstration?
Workers were on time and completed the job within a reasonable time.
Matt was my salesman and he was great. The installers came and did a beautiful job. I couldn’t be any happier.
Everything. Quality product, workmanship, warranty, process...everything
How great and efficient the workers were.
No pressure sales pitch.
Rob Sebastian is a rock star and showed us all of our options! There's no way that my friends and family would want to miss out on the service, knowledge and quality.
I will never recommend Long Home for any work. The process to get a bathtub to shower conversion should have been simple based on the promises on the website of their high ratings and experience. This was absolutely not the case.
Beware of the sales tactics! They will try to get your business through giving you a "live" quote and then a separate, higher quote if you didn't sign immediately but still wanted to go with them. Have other quotes in hand so that you can compare, because they want to rush you into making a decision.
The entire process was rocky and fraught with lack of communication or just straight up miscommunication. I consistently felt disrespected by the administrative staff since they ignored my requests. It got to the point where I could not trust any promises or commitments they made whether over phone or email.
I scheduled my installation, but did not receive the weekly updates that Jerry (the sales rep) had promised. Nathan (who helped with the administrative work, like permits) did a good job getting the details worked out with permitting and documentation for the property management company. After hearing nothing from Long Home confirming the installation as we got closer, the Friday morning before the installation I called Long Home for an update and received an answering machine. I left a message requesting a confirmation that the installation was still happening. I received a phone call at 3pm that afternoon saying that there was a missing part that either needed to be ordered or hadn't come in yet. This was shocking to me - either the company waited until the last minute to check my materials, which is not good practice or professional, or they checked the materials and saw the issue, but did not tell me that we needed to reschedule. I have a difficult work schedule and I specifically rearranged things to accommodate the installation and the last-minute cancellation resulted in lost work for me.
The saga continues. I was told that the missing part would come in 2 weeks and that I would be contacted when the part came in to reschedule. 3 weeks passed and I did not receive any communication from Long Home about rescheduling the work. I called Long Home and learned that the part had already come in. I felt ignored by the fact that I had not received a follow up call to reschedule.
After this, we were already weeks past a reasonable time for installation from when I had my initial consultation, however I could not legally cancel the contract due to the sneaky phrasing. I requested a refund for the project due to the absolute disrespect for my time and unprofessionalism. I strongly stated that all communication must be through email for traceability. I still received phone calls in direct opposition of my request. When I did answer a call, they said that there was no note in my file about this request for email only. Chris Capone brought my refund concerns to his manager David Smith, who offered a paltry sum of $100 in reparations. However, this was not reflected in my final bill.
At this point, I am forced into continuing to work with a company I cannot trust. I refused to shift work to accommodate the scheduling since I had been so negatively impacted previously, so the installation was scheduled for a few weeks out. I specifically, and over email, requested that I receive a call the Friday two weeks before and the Friday before the installation to confirm that the details were ready. I never received those calls. During the scheduling of my first installation, Nathan said that Long Home would take care of everything, including emailing the property management company to notify them about the water shutdown timing, which he did. However, the second time, Chris said that was my responsibility. He later backtracked and said that he would do it but that it was good if the property owner did it as well. In any case, I did have to intercede with the property manager about the water shutdown.
Finally, we reach the installation. I was told the arrival window was 9-11am. I received an email saying the arrival window was 7-9am, which was later corrected to 9-11am after I pointed out the discrepancy. The installers were told 8-10am. They arrived at 8:15, which would be great if that was the window that I had been told. I had to cancel a work meeting that I had specifically scheduled to be before the installation because of the miscommunication from the administration. Antonio the project manager texted me asking if I had any concerns and that the installers should be coming soon - AFTER the installers had already arrived ahead of 9am. I raised my concerns about the fact that they had been told a different arrival time and was told that he would "look into it". There was no follow up. The first day of installation went smoothly after the early start and thankfully the inspections were ok and didn't disrupt my schedule too much. I receive a text from Antonio that there was a missing piece of insulation that was overlooked and would be replaced during the final day of installation, so now I am questioning the quality of the work. I needed to schedule the final day of installation on Friday due to work commitments, but it took me reiterating to the scheduler 3 times before they understood that, On the last day of the installation the installers again came at ~8:15 am when I had been told 9-11.
All of these issues combined made my experience very unpleasant. The only positives were Jose and Milton and the plumber (whose name I forget, sorry!) who were courteous and professional even in the humid heat.
Regarding the quality of the shower, so far it has been easy to maintain. The material looks good and the installers did a good job with sealing edges/etc. My only complaint is that the lip on the base leading to the room is very low, so keeping water from splashing out is difficult.
I still feel like 2 stars is generous based on what I went through, but the end product does seem to be good quality and will last a long time.
The consultation is great and make you fall in love with the project. We had to follow up with them after more than 2 months of silence. There they tried to change the material. Then at installation they did not provide everything and of course the person who made the consultation is MIA.
Couteous and worked hard to do a good job
I was not sure the wood underneath was replaced as it should have been.
I have been trying for a few weeks to get someone to call me back related to an issue we are having following our install. I have called at least 4 times and have yet to receive a response. This is not acceptable practice. If we can get the issue resolved, I may change this rating but as of now, it's a generous 2.
