Village Homes

Village Homes was established by Jim Harris, Michael Dike and Rob Sell in 1996 with a single guiding principle: To build unique, inspiring homes combining timeless architectural design with modern innovation for discerning clients who value exceptional quality and understated elegance.

Rob and Michael met in Austin in 1994 shortly after graduating from the University of Texas. Both were working for one of Austin’s well-respected homebuilders and soon developed a mutual dissatisfaction with the monotonous designs that the new home industry was churning out. Frustrated with building uninspired designs, the two young men turned to Austin’s charming 1920s and 30s neighborhoods for inspiration. They soon understood the profound opportunity in combining beautiful architecture with all the benefits of a well built new home.

In the spring of 1996 Rob and Michael partnered with Jim Harris, an experienced Fort Worth developer who believed in their idea, and created Village Homes. Since that time Village Homes has become the standard bearer in the greater Fort Worth market for combining state-of- the-art construction with the architectural diversity and understated elegance of early 20th century architecture.
