Powell Built Homes, Inc. is founded on many years and generations of Powell family builders, with the fifth generation now in ownership.

In 1973 the Powell's incorporated and were known as Powell Industrial Builders, Inc.. Located in Eugene, Or.. During the 1970's & the majority of the 80's Powell Industrial Builders, Inc. was involved in strictly heavy commercial and light industrial construction. The jobs ranged in size from tens of thousands of dollars to multi-million dollar projects.

In 1988, a decision was made, due mainly to family, to move to the Newberg area and start working on small subdivision development, and custom home construction. Due to the shift in emphasis, Powell Industrial Builders, Inc. changed its name to Powell Built Homes, Inc. in 1994 and the focus became design and build custom homes.

Since that time Powell Built Homes, Inc. has also added the d.b.a. of “Powell Built” Design and Construction, due to the large percentage of commercial projects it was designing and building.
