Our project involved adding on extra space to our attached garage, replacing our asphalt driveway with a much larger concrete driveway, and the construction of an attractive wheelchair ramp for access to our front door. We were very pleased with the end result of our project. Stonehearth really paid attention to our goals and budget, and certain aspects of what was delivered (particularly regarding the ramp) handily exceeded our expectations.During the construction phase there were, however, some substantial difficulties with timely and accurate communication, which left us disappointed with the process of getting to that terrific end result. At the end of the project Stonehearth was eager to listen to us regarding our impressions of this difficulty and seemed genuinely interested in doing everything in their power to improve the performance of the company as they move forward. It is clear that the owner cares about his company and the satisfaction of his clients, and used our experience as an opportunity to learn how to do better.

I've used Stonehearth for two large projects and in both cases, the team delivered great results for reasonable cost and with extraordinary professionalism. We love the areas of our house they have remodeled; they understood our goals and were able to design plans that 100% met our needs. How the Stonehearth team does business is even more important - they are honest, reliable, considerate and trustworthy. You can always talk through issues (which every project will have) and resolve them in an open, calm dialogue. I think this team is the best and would highly recommend them.

After years of knowing that we needed to remodel our kitchen we wanted to work with a remodeler that would help design and provide us with some suggestions for improving the flow and cabinet configurations in our kitchen. Kathy provided us with a design that met all our criteria for creating a more open, light filled area and eliminated our hated "dead end" cabinets. Chad was very responsive to our resolve to stay within our budget and provided us with different options when available. During the project, Shawn, our project manager was fantastic. He contacted us regularly either in person, by email or phone to give us updates and to make sure that the schedule provided was kept. We had very few delays and for the most part, the work area was left clean after each worker left for the day. We are so happy with the outcome and the quality of the cabinets and layout of the new kitchen.

As first-time remodelers, we wanted to make sure we chose someone we trust to fulfill our vision within our budget and on time. Stonehearth met all of our expectations! Our story starts a few years earlier as we began to put together an idea of how we wanted to remodel the kitchen and bathroom in our 1950s St. Louis Park rambler. After looking through hundreds of ideas, we focused on our final concept. After talking to several contractors, Stonehearth gained our trust and met our budget. Greg and Cathy met with us before work began and explained the entire process. Cathy’s design and planning expertise along with Greg’s expert crew were soon at work. Gradually we saw our outdated kitchen and bathroom transformed to a beautiful and functional product. With a few adjustments, our vision was realized, and it garnered rave reviews from our family and friends. After getting used to our beautiful remodel, it’s hard to remember what our old kitchen and bathroom looked like. We feel humbled and grateful to have our updated home in our lives. There were a couple of points where I questioned what was going on, but the explanation always illuminated facts I hadn't known. Also, while it is clear Stonehearth is proud of its work, I never felt the project was THEIR project, instead of my home.
