They were very easy to deal with, and very attentive to my needs.
Most of the subs did a great job encluding the employees of Northwest Restoration. The project took much longer than we were led to expect. The Project Manager ( A nice person) was new and not a good planner. Work was lined up occasionally with multipy crews at one time. The biggest problem was with the cabinets. After multiple meetings with the project manager and then two third party overveiwers; the designers - builders had to remove all cabinet doors and drawer and take them back to the paint shop, rebuild two areas of the cabinets and repaint all cabinets. Project manager: nice guy / "undertrained?"
The work done by Northwest Restoration was good. In my emergency situation, they were quite reponsive. They finished the work to my satisfaction.
They were very efficient. The work was done timely. They were in great contact and had good communication. I was very happy.
They often changed their schedule and didn't show up when they were supposed to. They left wet carpet overnight in my home when the adjuster had already told them to pull it out. We had to do that ourselves. It started everything on the wrong foot.
They were gentlemen and got right into work and took care of the problem. They were just a wonderful company and I would send anybody to them.
They left mold in my house even though they told me they were done. They didn’t keep me informed about when they were coming or what was going on with my house.
My Project Manager, Nic Clarke, was the absolute best! He was friendly, knowledgeable, organized and most importantly, patient!
The plumbers from Oasis Plumbing, Joe, Hanini, Evan and one other young man, were so helpful. They were fast and did an awesome job.
Brian with Macadam Floors went above and beyond. He drove out to my house in Oregon City twice. Once to measure and once to bring a new floor sample, after we found out my choice was out of stock. The two men who laid the LVP did a nice job.
The men who brought in my new cabinet were in and out so fast, I didn't get their names. The cabinet is beautiful, and I love it.
When Scott with Macadam Floors came to install the new countertop, he let me know that you can't use undercounter sinks with a laminate top. WHO KNEW!? I know now, LOL! Needless to say, it was a setback of a day, and I wasn't happy. I had to return the two sinks and the two faucets and exchange them for ones that would fit. Scott was so nice and apologetic, and it wasn't even his fault. It was mine. He gave me his cell phone and told me to text him photos of the new sinks when I went to Home Depot. He wanted to make sure they fit and also to get the measurements, so he could pre-cut the holes.
The next day, the counter top was installed. The plumbers had to reschedule, but they were able to come back the day after and install the sinks and faucets. They were awesome.
Lupe was amazing. He took care of everything that I asked of him. He fixed all of the cuts in the walls that we had to make to check for mold and asbestos. He did a beautiful job painting my entire basement. My light fixture in the basement bathroom was so dirty and dusty, Lupe took it down for me along with my fan cover, so I could thoroughly clean them. He and I decided that my 2" trim pieces needed to be sanded and cleaned before he could re-install. I decided to get 3 1/2 inch trim to save time, and I knew it would look better. Lupe brought me samples from his truck, and then he ran to Home Depot to pick up all the supplies. Seriously, above and beyond!
Kirk, the second carpenter, hung the last of my bathroom fixtures. My new shower door was a little complicated, but he hung it without a problem. He touched up my new base molding and filled the nail holes. He even cleaned my bathroom mirror!
The guys and one lady who came to bring my furniture back in were great. The only name I remember is Brandon, probably because he was the first to arrive. I had to leave to go to our office in Vancouver for a couple of hours. When I got back home, they were almost finished. The woman told me to go check everything, and if I wanted something moved, they could take care of it. They also took ALL of the garbage that we brought up from the basement and hauled it away.
The Blue Box people were on time to deliver the box and on time to pick it up.
Devon in the billing department was very helpful and patient with me. When we didn't agree on the final bill, she was always friendly and said we would figure it out. In the end, she had to contact my insurance adjuster, and they were able to work it out.
All in all, even though this entire two month experience was stressful and a lot of work, Nic and all the NW Renovation employees and subs made it worth it. Plus I have a beautiful new basement and bathroom.
It was a very good experience, professional and thoughtful of our schedule with a 9 month old. Great work and great people.
They were courteous, quick, and very helpful with finding contractors.
Every NW Restoration staff member I met was punctual, professional and courteous. Responses to emails, texts, and phone calls were prompt and helpful.
I liked the person that was spearheading it. I think the subcontractors are somewhat marginal.
Everyone at NWR is so helpful and all the Contractors were great. There were many delays but since all this happened during COVID they were understandable and we worked well together.
Overflowing toilet on 3rd floor ran for 8 hours - ouch!. called NWR on advice of my insurance agent, and was delighted with the organization and execution of NWR. A football teams worth of young men came in and mitigated the damage, kept us informed and had the tear out and dry out done in a week. Then the PM, (jerimiah) came in and ran the show to get the house back to like new status - not bad for a 25 year old house. Super happy with the work, communication and quality of the work done. Would recommend to anyone who has need for home repair after an accident.
Recognized Excellence - Jerimiah was the PM, and did a fantastic job. Delighted with his knowledge, attention to detail and communication. To be fair, there was a young man in charge of the damaged tearout, I forget his name but he did a terrific job too.
Areas For Improvement - none
Additional Comments - Hated to have the damage, but NWR made the recovery process as pain free as possible. Appreciated them working directly with my insurance, prevented a lot of back and forth and posturing between the orgs.
They were very good. They did what they say they would do. They did it in a timely fashion and they were nice people. The major thing that they did right is that everyone was vaccinated and wore masks. I made that a condition of people working here. I am very grateful of that. I was prepared to battle - but they were very understanding and compliant.
Recognized Excellence - I would like to recognize the president of the company for his exceptional service. He went out of his way to be helpful. Jeremy handled everything that came up. When I first called in, the receptionist was very kind, outgoing, and had a good sense of humor.
Areas Of Satisfaction - I was hopeful. I don't know if had any expectations. They made it smooth and easy. I was happy. I don't know what I expected.
Was very satisfied with the staff, work was done to our satisfaction.
Everyone was very helpful and kind. They were prompt and did a nice job with repairing my garage. I would recommend them to anyone.

Worst renovation I’ve ever dealt with. Complete lack of project management (despite the 20% fee), poor communication, zero accountability, and just poor overall value and service.
They were good and very friendly. It took them almost nine months to finish the job due to a shortage in material.
