We are so happy with our deck build. It absolutely could not have gone any better. If I had to do it all over again I would go with them in a heartbeat! If you decide to hire JTR construction to build your deck you will not regret it.
Josh and team were efficient, communicative and friendly. We love our new deck! Highly recommend.
Our project was to remove and replace a 32-year old cedar 2x4 deck of approximately 670 square feet. We received estimates from 3 companies, with each one having a different approach and preferred materials. When comparing apples-to-apples (materials, components, design) the cost estimate provided by JTR was the lowest and the best. JTR is unique because Josh is not only the owner but is also the one who builds the deck, along with his very capable assistant Darren. There aren't different people who provide the estimate, oversee the project and build the deck: It's all done by Josh and he is truly a Master at building decks. They build a very solid, great looking deck and they put extra effort into making sure that it is done right and the customer is satisfied. We are very happy to have our deck built by JTR Construction.
I highly recommend going with Josh (JTR) for your new deck. Josh built our family the most beautiful deck out of English Walnut Azek and he did it at a cost that was unmatched by 4 other highly rated local portland deck companies. Literally 25% off the other bids! I would shake the hand of anyone who could build a more stable, precise, cleaner looking deck. He did not cut corners, dug deep footings and used a lot of cement, fully flashed the entire rim, replaced all my cedar siding and left me with minimal paint touch-up. He addressed all of my questions along the way. His communication was great the entire job. He and his crew were on time from start to finish and cleaned up the job site as if they were never here. I not a huge reviewer online, but Josh went over the top and we hope to enjoy this deck for many many years to come. Thank you Josh and team for your hard work!
