Comments
In response to our customer satisfaction surveys, homeowners share lots of comments about construction quality, communication, or any other question asked in the survey. Guildmembers can selectively publish these comments here on their profile page.
Reviews
Reviews are different than comments. These are star ratings that homeowners ask us to publish, and they come with a written description of the type of experience they had working with their contractor. We publish all of the reviews we receive: positive and negative alike.

My overall experience with Jim Lanning Builders was that they tried hard to please people. They were very above the board with making sure everything was done right. My husband was also pleased with them and he is very particular about this type of stuff.

Jim and his son in law are among the premier building contractors in western North Carolina. They , along with the professionals they contract , are talented, respectful, excellent listeners and communicators and, when needed, good coaches. We would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a quality job.

JIM AND HIS CREW AND SUBCONTRACTORS DID A GREAT JOB. WORK WAS DONE AS SCHEDULED. QUALITY OF WORK DONE WAS SUPERB. BUDGET WAS IN LINE. BEST THING EVER--HE HAS NEVER HAD TO VISIT THE HOUSE TO FIX ANYTHING SINCE WE HAVE MOVED IN.

I have trim boards to install that will cap over exposed block foundation. What ways should I attach these? They will be primed and painted when installed.

I would suggest construction adhesive which will attach the trim boards while also providing a capillary break between the block and the trim board so that moisture does not wick into the trim boards. ... read more
