Some thing are done with good intention but other things are off. Example, kitchen cabinets do not have door handles. I had to provide my own door handles. That is only one example. Construction meets a price break point, I understand the market dynamics. Minor changes would increase buyer value with little or no change in costruction cost.
It was rough. We had threats, yet kindness, so it could go both ways.
I want to thank Starlight homes for making our dreams possible! The process was very smooth as a first time home buyer, my Husband and I didn’t have a clue on the background on purchasing a home. Starlight made sure that their preferred lenders helped us throughout the entire process! I’ll definitely recommend Starlight to family and friends!
The process was extremely straightforward. The numbers were laid out very clearly so we would know if going the new build route was doable for us. All concerns were addressed. Communication was exceptional from sales and the construction manager. I would recommend Starlight to all of my friends who are in the market to buy. We went to 5+ new build companies and the quality of the home was by far the best. 10/10 recommend. I still feel like even being here for a month+, we still have the company on our side to help if anything happens.

My overall experience has been average. I understand and appreciate the purpose of having an HOA to help keep the neighborhood clean and well-maintained. However, I do not agree with being told in great detail what I can and cannot do on my own property. There should be a reasonable balance between community standards and homeowner freedom.
Additionally, I have noticed some areas of the neighborhood where the grass is overgrown, which seems inconsistent with the standards homeowners are expected to follow.
Another concern is the amount of streets marked as "No Parking – Fire Lane." While I understand the safety reasons behind these restrictions, they significantly limit available parking for residents and guests. When homeowners have family gatherings or visitors, it can be difficult to find adequate parking. More consideration should be given to where guests are expected to park in these situations.
Overall, I believe there are opportunities to improve both the homeowner experience and the practicality of the community's rules and design.
My house caught on fire within the first week of owning it.
The prices are good. Service is great. Within the first 2–3 weeks of my tenant’s move, the breakers broke twice—the electrical breakers. There was also a leak from the HVAC that required us to pull out an entire drywall. We just purchased the home on April 20th, so I feel like it was not inspected correctly, and now the tenant has to suffer.
I have already recommended to many and 2 of them ended up buying a starlight home in the same neighborhood.
Love the space! The Apollo 5 bedroom layout is perfect for my family.

Plumbing issues since first home inspection theres been multiple leaks from my water main. Construction supervisor rushed me through inspection and didnt show me what I was signing for told him multiple things that were wrong with home but he didnt care about much just talked about how hes really over ashton woods homes across the street. The three times the plumber has came to “fix” leak weve had water leak onto sidewalks and street.
Without a doubt, yes! Starlight Homes did a fantastic job from day one. The communication was excellent — they were always responsive, transparent, and easy to work with. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a great home-buying experience.
