Carpenter bees out of reach! Anything that can be done?

I have seen a lot of great DIY carpenter bee traps that fill up with bees. I have friends that say the traps keep them out of the house.  https://www.pinterest.com/explore/carpenter-bee-trap/
I have trim boards to install that will cap over exposed block foundation. What ways should I attach these? They will be primed and painted when installed.

I would suggest construction adhesive which will attach the trim boards while also providing a capillary break between the block and the trim board so that moisture does not wick into the trim boards. ... read more
