I was pleased with the tune-up service for which I contracted. It was thorough and at a reasonable price. However, prices quoted for additional work was outlandish. In my estimation, twice what it should have been! $381.00 is just too much for a $36.00 part and 10 minutes work.

is it standard to hold a cooling unit up by a belt to prevent it from leaning? this belt slipped and was tighten to again to prevent it from leaking

A belt doesn't sound like the proper material to hold anything related to air conditioning
