Carefree Gutter Guard was founded in 1999 after our President and CEO, Emmit White, recognized the need in the market for a gutter system that was seamless (literally), simple/hassle-free once installed, and effective at moving water to where it needs to go: away from your home.
Having ran Tidewater Roofing since 1982, Emmit knew better than most the needs of the market and the type of solution that would best meet those needs. When he formed Carefree Gutter Guard, he made sure that the gutter system he chose – the K-Guard Leaf-Free Gutter System – would meet the needs of our customers not only today, but in the future as well.
Family Owned & Operated
Over the years, word of our products spread and our business grew. Each new gutter installation we performed was a chance to show another homeowner the benefits of our system, and we view each installation as our opportunity to earn your trust and patronage.
As our business grew, we remained focused on the values that define our business: being a good corporate citizen, providing honest, no-nonsense quotes, and the importance of family.

Recognized Excellence - The president of the company came out and gave me the estimate, and the installer--Jason or Josh, I'm not sure--explained everything and did the whole job by himself, so it wasn't a bunch of wasted labor.

Recognized Excellence - Rhett, (sales consultant), was very professional, answered all our questions, and helped us to understand Carefree Gutter Guard’s product and installation process which made it an easy decision to choose this company over 3 other companies we had received quotes from. Terry, the crew boss of our job was very informative and helpful throughout the installation when an area of roof rot was noted. The crew members were professional and respectful, kindly going above and beyond their job, utilizing their leaf blower to clear our entire 3 car driveway of leaves after an especially windy night before the day they arrived to do our job. Molly, (office staff), arranged for our job to be put on hold and then completed a week later, after our roofer could repair the roof rot.
