I would not tend to recommend much of anything, but everything went well and now we hope to see the energy bills drop ( if that is even possible with inflation on a monumental climb).
I am highly satisfied. My initial reason for choosing Window World was because they did windows for us in 2005. It was a complete house of windows and doors. When my husband was alive, he was very picky with whom he worked, and he was satisfied with their work, thus being the reason for me going back to the window world for my new home.
I was very very pleased with Window World, their Salesperson was very professional and the person installing the windows was very professional,
I found everyone to be very organized and helpful and courteous with any questions I had. I would recommend Window World of Pgh to a friend

Everything was exactly what they said it would be. Came to my house to do the estimate was here about 30 minutes, answered all questions. Called back to days later to sign the contract. Windows were installed 6 weeks later, all in 1 day. Very polite, respectful and cleaned up after themselves!
The experience was fine, but I received a follow-up email and phone call rescheduling my appointment due to bad weather, but I called, and they told me that it was a car accident. Things started to take a turn and went downhill. The salesperson and Lucille were great. Lucille communicated with me via text and kept me updated. The day of installation took a turn. I spoke to Jackie and I don't know her exact role in the company. We ordered nine windows and no one told us that the project could be cancelled due to weather. There was only one installer for nine windows and because of that the project was delayed throughout the weekend to complete everything. The installer broke one of my blinds and he called Vincent. Vincent told me they would pay for the blinds and that never happened. I had to have my husband call because I was tired.
Very nice installation- HOWEVER we ordered in April & didn’t get them until October!!!
They are a perfect fit!
While the windows themselves seem reasonable, installation at our home was a nightmare.
Upon arriving at our home, the first installation crew (who were not from Window World but were contracted to do a Saturday install) discovered that our custom color windows were not correctly sized, with the windows being the exact same size as the widow opening, not slight;y smaller. This was not noticed until two windows and our front screen door were already torn off and destroyed. The crew also had an extremely limited ability to speak English which made is difficult to communicate. Whether by intent or miscommunication with the installation manager (the second being assumed), the installing crew seemed to think installation was mandatory and systematically began to hack out chunks of plaster from around the windows to force fit the new windows. Their junior assistant also failed to plastic cover work areas, and even though a more senior worker did it for latter areas of work, the junior worker simply yanked the plastic away during clean-up. In the end, every room in our house had chiseled window frames and plaster debris everywhere.
A window and door could not be fitted and several months later a regular Window World crew came to finish the install. They did a reasonable job, but it was blatantly obvious to see that they were being massively over-scheduled, due to their need to constantly answer their phones on other job tasks. An offer was made to try repairing some plaster, but I knew that despite any desire to recover the situation, the only true resolution would be to remove the window, repair the destroyed plaster then re-install the window. As I was hard put to believe these over-scheduled guys could actually get time to do this, let alone do it correctly, I dismissed the offer.
So while I currently have new windows with a warranty, it took many days to clean up the mess and the areas surrounding my windows will have perpetually destroyed plaster. I don't see how I could possibly recommend Window World based on these events.
The initial Sales call was kept to 35 minutes, which we appreciated.
Installers we’re very professional,
While we truly liked the product offerings and price points, we were not totally happy with the final install. Our door was installed into a walk out basement that has a stone facade on the outside. The only exterior finishing option was to cover all the foam and fill in all the cracks with bright white caulk which would have looked awful. As a result we have foam showing and are left to finish the exterior ourselves. The outdoor moulding also has nail holes still showing and doesn’t look finished. The installer also wasn’t sent the correct size of moulding to finish the interior and we couldn’t have our screen installed because he didn’t have the right equipment to install it. I would have expected that the person who came to do our final measurements would have communicated to the installer all potential tools or finishing products required to fully install the door. Now we have to wait another month for the correct moulding to come in and schedule another appointment to have the screen installed.
I would have no problem recommending Window World. I'm very happy with my new windows. I'd be honest just like I have been during this survey.
They do great work, and it was a great customer experience.
It was a completely frictionless type of transaction. It was easy and cost affective. Likewise, it has lowered my utility bill, my house looks better, and it has increased the value of my home.
They were on time and courteous! They were very friendly! They did a great job!
Not at this time.
So far Window World has been a pleasure to work with. The salesman, installers and reps I have talked with over the phone have been nothing but courteous and professional. At this time, 2 days, it would be premature to say how well the windows perform. The installation is well done.
Window World uses outside contractors. One person installed the windows. I feel like they have an insufficient amount of people who do the work.
Window World of Pgh was a grat company to work with. There was no sales pressure to sign, the people are very friendly, the windows and doors are great and they work with HOA regulations.
I am unhappy with the service I received. They set up an appointment and canceled it for another day. Then it happened again for the second time. I am not happy with that.
Everybody tells me my windows look beautiful, and the installers were fantastic.
They put the wrong windows in my house. They left a gap in my house. They didn't install the windows correctly. The installers tried to trick my wife into thinking it was correct. It wasn't. There was a gap in the window within the frame. The installer stood in front of it, so my wife wouldn't see it. They installed triple-plane glass in the wrong area. They offered me absolutely zero feedback on it. They haven't offered me any type of discount. They sent a technician out in order to repair it. Apparently, it wasn't repairable, but I haven't heard anything from them about receiving a new window. I have received surveys for a good review. It seems they care more about the review than providing service.
Window World made it very easy to replace our windows, and they got the job done more than a month ahead of schedule. It was nice to be kept in the loop on each step. The install team did a great job and delivered a very polished product. I am very pleased with the great work the whole Window World team did and that they were able to do the window replacements at a very fair price. Thanks you!
I think they did a great job. They were very efficient and cleaned up well. Everybody was courteous on the build team. I would recommend them to anyone looking for windows.
