Yes, I would recommend the builder. While there were some schedule delays and instances of miscommunication regarding parts of the construction process, the builder made efforts to address and resolve the issues as best as possible.

We are very pleased with our experience with Golden Rule. From the front office staff, the design team, the building crew and project manager, all were pleasant, knowledgeable, respectful, and easy to work with. They are dedicated to quality building and providing a wonderful home. No design build if flawless, but in general things went seamlessly. I was pleased that I put my trust in GRB. They have done the right thing and the quality of construction is high. I'd recommend going with GRB from the stand point of trust and quality. You can count on them to correct things when they aren't perfect. That is hard to find in today's business climate. GRB lives by the name they have and all members of the team treat people they way they would want to be treated.

I will only recommend you to folks that want the highest quality work done. People interested in work that's merely "good enough" should shop elsewhere. You will absolutely get what you pay for, our renovation is not cheap, but we have quality in our renovation not found anywhere else, and I'm willing to pay for the BEST. Anyone wanting it done meticulously right and virtually flawless will want GRB.

The staff on the project did excellent work with great attention to detail. Very helpful at each step of the process when we had to make decisions about things like colors, fixtures, tile, etc. As well, they were great to have around, pleasant and polite without exception. If you need a major job like a bath done, go with Lantz construction.

We are very happy with how the process went. From conception (they listened to our wants to include, we cant move forward without an idea for pricing and provided that for us so we could obtain financing) to helping us design the project with the future in mind, not just the now, to constant communication with us one status and ultimately delivering a beautiful finished product. It has allowed us to stay in my husband's childhood home while also making room for our family.

Areas Of Satisfaction - When we were deciding we needed to replace our deck, we took our time and researched products and providers available. We interviewed 5 companies, ranging from very small businesses to national firms. To be honest, Paragon was not the least expensive, but what they have is priceless. We've termed it the "Paragon Secret Sauce". Throughout the process of deciding which company we would select, we reached out to Scott Faison numerous times via phone, email and in-person. Not one time did Scott make us feel unappreciated as potential customers. He was a wealth of information, presented us many options to fit our budget and goal, and never pressured us (unlike other companies that kept checking in regularly asking if we had made a decision). The rest of the Paragon team is equally as wonderful...they are like family to us now. Here's and example of Paragon's attention to detail and honest business practices...While all the boxes delivered were marked with the same product number, the installation team noticed that one of the rail sections for our deck was slightly different in height and style of spindle. The difference had to be pointed out to us as we didn't detect it upon first look. Apparently the manufacturer made a slight change in production between 2023 and 2024 (the section in question was the only box reflecting a 2023 mfr date). We are impressed with Paragon's honesty...other companies probably wouldn't have noticed nor brought this issue to our attention. Paragon is one of the most professional organizations with which we've ever interfaced.

I had black ProVia french doors with muntins, or grids in between glass, installed to replace the old sliding glass door. Scott was great with designing the doors, explaining the details, and answering my questions. Joanna, Chris, and John did a fantastic job removing the sliding glass door and installing the new french doors. They were very professional and kept the area clean. After they were done, Joanna made sure my wife and I understood how to operate the center astragal to open the inactive door. Overall, the experience was pleasant and stress free.

This is invaluable when attempting to renovate most every section of a home, but having to do it in phases because of the costs of labor and materials. Perez Design/Build Remodel was excellent.

Several months ago we reached out to Paragon Construction while researching ways to renovate our backyard space. We knew we wanted to replace our aging deck that went unused and we wanted to fence in our back yard for our new puppy, but we weren’t sure what that should look like. We met with Scott at Paragon Construction and he listened carefully to what we wanted and walked our home with us. A short time later he delivered a plan for us that was exactly what we were looking for. We moved forward with Paragon Construction for the project and couldn’t be happier.

We have received white glove service every step of the way. Every member of their team has conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism and had a unified goal to exceed our expectations. This was a substantial project that took seven weeks to complete. Every single day was meticulously planned out and executed with precision by our Project Manager Les and the Project Supervisor Kevin. I can’t say enough about how wonderful these two were. They made sure that every question was answered and progress was clearly communicated daily with photos.

In addition to the outstanding service, Paragon delivered a incredible level of quality that is obvious to all who have visited our home since the completion. Construction process was awful. I felt like I had to manage the whole project. Subcontractors lacked direction. Even Perez employees lacked skill to do there jobs.

I have already recommended Paragon Construction Company to a neighbor.
Jermey Shank, the owner and president, is extremely trustworthy. He demonstrated integrity and cares about his customers. His experience was shown throughout the entire project, and we found the suggestions that he made to be very beneficial!

Areas For Improvement - One area I failed to mention to Jermey when I spoke with him last week where I thought they could improve is that I periodically found job debris on the driveway, which I had to pick up, especially nails. I did bring that to the attention of the project manager, Zach Paul. I think they should do a metallic sweep, using a magnet. They should do that for any project because I also found a razor blade. I have a pet, and we drive our cars on the driveway. Fortunately, we didn't have any punctured tires, and my dog didn't find anything that we know of. I know they are always looking for areas to improve, so that is one area.

His communication was excellent, he was definitely concerned and wanted to make sure we were happy.
