I have not enjoyed anything about this process. The sales felt pressured and now the windows are more noise than the ones I had prior to my purchase which I will not call an upgrade at this point.
Overall the quality of the windows seem high end, with a high price.
Salesperson was rather pushy, using tactics at the end such as “if you bought these windows, would it take food off the table?” Or “the price is locked in now, and will only go up.”
There was no catalogue to pick out or see what we were getting, it was “a a sliding door would be best here, what finish do you want, white or black?” And I didn’t know what anything looked like. There were sample windows to show off the quality, but you never see what they’d look like.
The contract has 3 days to back out without penalty, which we ended up making our mind up after that since we have a young baby. We ended up getting one door done, instead of just taking the penalty fee that was a % of the total order.
The company didn’t communicate very well.
The installer was phenomenal: friendly and very good at his trade.

I have tried to get ahold of your company but a recording says there is no one to help me. I left a message on July 3rd but no on has contacted me as of today. I left a message today again I can not speak to anyone. I had to leave a message 7
Communication from consultation to installation day.
The trim on the door install was not very well done. The trim on one of the windows was removed. We were told it would be installed later and still have not heard on timing.
You have had to return too many times for things that should not have been an issue. One window was measured wrong, one had a dented sill, the spackling was finished, they a screw in to tight that was buckling our siding and could have called us when a repair window came in broken and you had to reschedule instead of coming out just to replace the one with the dented sill.
Overall I am pleased with UWD bin product and quality and typically in getting help/customer service/repairs.
They were fast and courteous even when my dog was trying to help them 😂
When the first installment was completed, there was no clean-up. Since then, there were 2 window pains that the seals were broken. The first was replaced with no problem. The second one has been replaced but both times the technician came out, once the pain was the wrong size and the second time the frame was crooked. So the tech replaced one pain in the old frame and installed. Is it still under warranty??
Use drop cloth when removing sliding glass doors so you don't permanently stain carpet. Clean up handprints on walls around windows.

Installers were through and trimmed windows very well compared Installtion by UW a few years ago . We had UW install 1/2 of our windows.
Universal Windows Direct has been an excellent company to work with from start to finish. The salesman, the installation crew and technician were all very knowledgeable and did a thorough job. I definitely recommend them.
I purchased all new complete tear out windows and frames and a new sliding door when they were installed the intallers didn't even work or was trained by universal windows according to them so the quality of work was not good .l ended up having several visits from service techs and after about a year the sliding door instalation was incorrect that it actually rotted out my sub floor .I wish I could share the pictures.
Installer (Wayne) was very professional and did great work
Not at this time. I do not know anyone needing new windows. I had to replace mine because condo association forced it
After having these windows units for some time now, I've went through a winter with these unit proving to drafting and cold radiating through.
Wait untill windows are in longer
Great service cleaned their mess up when finished and left like they were never there very pleased
Does not keep appointments, slow response to customer calls, slow to schedule repairs to damaged frames
Added a service charge for “lifetime warranty” very frustrating to spend that amount of money and expect one thing only to be told another when we needed to uses our warranty
Unfortunately, I don't feel we have had good customer service. I am still waiting on a reply and was told within 48 hours. We are missing a screen, that YOUR company took and have not replaced!
