There are multiple things wrong with my house. They put dead sod in my yard and I requested it to be fixed multiple times, and I was told that they couldn't fix it. My yard gets flooded every time my neighbor runs their sprinklers. They sprayed concrete on my windows and their workmanship is poor quality. Flooring contractors came in and told me that the floor needs to be fixed, and I have not heard anything yet, it's been two weeks.
The housing build was pretty good. Other than some small things there were no problems.
Poor fit an finish across the entire property. doors do not shut. trash left in yard and poor drainage throughout.
Thank you, Starlight! Our first home is perfect and the neighborhood is beautiful!
Starlight Homes has created such ideal layouts for any and all types of families. We went house hunting looking for our “forever home” and are filled with such joy knowing we found it! We’ve never felt more at home.
My experience with the Starlight did not start so good but it completely changed when I met Keith and Dillon. Keith is my construction manager and Dillon comes along with him almost all the time they come for repair. They are extremely polite, professional, humble, and hard-working. They are knowledgeable in their field and have exceptional workmanship. They took care of my house like their own and stayed on top of everything I requested them, no matter how long the list is. Keith is completely trustworthy and very responsive as well. They are the two workhorses of the community and I cannot be more thankful to have them taking care of my house. I am only giving 5 starts because of Keith and Dillon. Thank you!
The team was awesome. From the folks in the office to the builder. A-1
The people at Starlight are hands down amazing so far… kind helpful ect. However, whoever is dealing with the logistics has got it wrong. These fools they’re contracting work out to are cutting corners left and right!! This has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ACTUAL EMPLOYEES they’re great! The 2 ladies from the office I’ve met and Lucas the CM
Don't buy from this company. They are not reliable. I paid cash and I have people living there and there are things not connected like the dishwasher and an outlet is missing.
There were lots of shortcuts taken while the home was being prepared. We submit warranty claims 3-days after moving in. There have also been issues since move-in. We've called to get a claim submitted, or an issue addressed. And we've been hung-up on. Or, cursed out. We've even been told to shut up, in regard to submitting a claim for an emergency. We still have a total of 18 holes in our walls. In a new home! We still have no paint in some areas, and holes that have not been patched. Again, we've only been in the home a month. Our showers and toilets has no sealant. We had outlets not working. The carpets are dirty. The hardwood floors are ruined with paint, and plaster. There was gum, and such, in every closet. There's paint, and plaster everywhere. The warranty people were here, and were crap talking us. The painters came out next, and said that this specific person was talking about us! To be told, that there are people talking badly about us over a maintenance claim is bizarre. I am at a point to where I want to sell the home already! I will not recommend Starlight Homes.
Starlight made our home buying process so easy. The floorplans are beautiful and the staff is amazing.
On the date of my first walk I still didn't have a meter. They called me to see if I still wanted to walk, I would assume this would help them out since the quality was so low. I pushed the walk back, when I arrived for the walk a day after the meter was installed there was still people working in the house. Nothing was clean, fixtures were missing, drywall patches not textured or painted, doors wouldn't lock, and I didn't have attic insulation, which I didn't realize until about a month after I closed. At the final walk we had missing fixtures still, incomplete paint and drywall punch, exterior paint, concrete needed to be cleaned, there is a pipe sticking out of my slab that leads to nowhere, and the concrete skim needs to be redone. If I didn't need to be out of my apartment so quickly I wouldn't have closed. 0/10. Wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. I have construction experience and caught a lot of the things most people wouldn't. I can't imagine how bad people are getting treated without any knowledge.
Our shower has a leak that has not been fixed and also door hindges keep falling off. Our backyard patios balance beam was also loose so when one of my family members leaned on it they almost fell. Also have had my little sister crawling on the carpet and cutting her knee due to nails on the edging of the carpet.
One of the best places ever. Good quality great people, all around A plus. Thankyou Starlight.
Buyer beware. I will tell you about my experience and so you can catch any red flags.Back story needed home from moving to Arizona to Texas. Realtor shouldn’t have recommended this place. If you do not use there lender they treat you differently. The $2k down was not bad, but in that contract they can change dates on you without notice. There is nothing you can do about it, unless you want to walk away. Stephanie Terranova their representative, will tell you if you use a different lender and you are not ready to close they will charge you $200 per day. I was suppose to close 2/1/22, but Starlight was not ready and changed date to 2/14/22. No help, just you take it and deal with it. Stephanie unresponsive and offers no solutions and lacks compassion. Stephanie is good with excuses.Craftsmanship here is not great. Upstairs floor loft squeaks. The sub floor has major issues some places hire than the other. Some areas do not feel structurally sound. One door does not close. When the washer machine runs lights dim upstairs in a few rooms. Coax Cable is missing upstairs master bedroom. Pin hole in the master shower. Initially cabinets were not done but got finished. Front door strike plates were improperly installed. (Got fixed) Also, plan to use paint remover for the floors, expect to clean all carpets from the saw dust and left over carpet pieces. It should get fixed with the warranty, but only time will tell.I am probably going to the city and find out who passed the inspection here. The project Manager Danny has been great and is responsive understanding. The window was replaced, but shouldn't have to walk into that. If it was not for him I would probably make more of a ruckus. All in all, for a brand new house with should not be this many issues. The experience was terrible. Why did I follow through because realtor said unfortunately this is how it is with new builds. It will probably be the same somewhere else. Just know, these people don't care, well maybe Danny does, but as for the rest, your just filling quota at there expense. One thing to note leaving here in the AM and getting home in the PM is tough, traffic 2 lane highway and its survival of the fittest.Be prepared for a bumpy ride.
Logan was very helpful with the whole process. Made it very easy and made our deadline. Gave us updates weekly. Definitely recommend!
They were really helpful and helped me get a house. It was an easy process.
I would definitely recommend this company to friends. We came down every day and saw progress on the project.
Our sales representative gave us great customer care and took care of us through the whole process. I would highly recommend her.
Some of the contractors set a date to arrive they do not arrive. I am still getting water damage as a result. I keep losing my rest days from work as a result. Coming home after a working a 24 hour shift to wait all day on contractors instead of resting is really upsetting. The date for the first home payment has not arrived yet and I have not get to enjoy my house yet and I already ate worrying about water damage. My house almost burned down because a screw fell on an overheating electrical box according to the electrical contractor that came to fix a non working doorbell.
I am a first-time homebuyer. The process was smooth and easy. Everyone was friendly. They had no problem re-explaining anything I might be confused about. I would recommend going with Starlight Homes in the future and recommend you to other friends.
The sales team for starlight homes. Blatantly lie to your face and do not care for you as a home buyer. Even if you are a veteran home buyer. All they care about is closing the house so they can get paid. I will never recommend starlight homes to anyone else.
Starlight Homes is very straight forward and professional. I had a better experience with Starlight Homes than any other builder in the area.
The process of getting our home was beyond pleasant. From the salesperson to the construction manager, everyone was always super helpful and friendly. Nothing is ever perfect, but my process of getting the house, and the house itself was pretty close to all being perfect.
Starlight Homes had great service over all!
