Sherry was so compassionate, patient, thorough and helpful to both my realtor and I through the entire duration, and even after. Sherry is a beautiful person inside and out and she's just what any homebuilder company needs to get the job done without clients feeling like they are just another number or sale. Smith Douglas Homes is blessed to have her. Stan , whom I ran into later also made the experience top tier. He was always so warm and informative. Ginni Childers of Ridgeland Mortgage, their preferred lender, was also outstanding! Delven, Sherry, Stan and Ginni made my home buying experience fun and made me want to do it again just so I can have the opportunity to feel their encouragement, support and learn from them all over again. They were angels, hand picked by God to be a blessing to me.

I’m a first time move in ready new construction home buyer and this was a very pleasant experience. Communication with SDH was excellent, the were very responsive and timely in answering my questions and addressing my concerns.

The "finishing" details seem to have been overlooked, and when items were brought up at the final walkthrough and during the 1-month warranty check, we were told that these items were done "in the most appropriate manner." I don't believe the photos I sent to the warranty representative are photos that would make it to your model home or brochures.

The materials to build the house is wonderful! We’ve had other houses in the start to build but got out of it because of lack of good building material and I like how guild fixes the issue before getting any further of need be.

The home was poor quality.

I like how the process was very organized and predictable. Each step in the building process was throughly explained with a plan of action. There were a lot of options to make my house personalized to what I wanted and needed. Smith Douglas was one of the few builders that offered several Ranch options which is very important to older people who did not want any stairs.

The builder is excellent and very professional. He did what he said he would do, and if something wasn't looking good, he fixed it in a timely manner.

We had a good experience with the building. We were kept in touch as things progressed, and we were happy about that.

Workmanship in side the house extremely poor. From paint on cabinets and floors that I am still removing. Broken trim son door frame and baseboards. I had crown molding added to the house and the crown molding does not meet correctly and a poor job filling in the cracks also base border cut short and poor filling in the seams. Chunks of calk on baseboards and frames where they did a poor job fixing gaps and cracks before doing a poor job painting over it. I have pictures and willing to post. These things were pointed out during walk through and again during final walk through and still not fixed.

I believed the houses or made well. I feel like the company will make things right if needed. But…we’ve had several issues that have taken multiple steps to resolve and multiple subs to work with and they not do a very good job and having to redo it. It’s made it more difficult and complicated.

What a wonderful experience! Kyle was extremely helpful and worked very closely with our realtor and loan officer to make the whole process seamless.

The customer service was excellent. The realtor was great: informative and attentive, and she answered phone calls. Sky, the site manager, was also attentive, answering any problems. Overall, since I have been in the home, it has not been of good quality; everything is falling apart after two months. Since being in the home, it has been difficult to get things fixed; The warranty process takes a long time and I should not be having these issues. The paint in the hall is very cheap. You can't wipe dings off on the wall. The homes cost way too much money for these types of problems to occur in a two-month period. It is not good quality for the money that is spent. There is a ditch behind, my home, it is like a dump site. The workers are not cleaning the streets; I just replaced a tire because of the rubbish on the streets. The trash they leave blows into my yard on a daily basis. I can't get out of my driveway because the workers have the streets blocked.

Construction was my main concern and they performed the job exceedingly well.
