From the very beginning of the process, we were impressed with the quality of the homes, and with the different designs available.

A good portion of issues on our home inspection that was supposed to be done before we moved in but still waiting. Was being patient and reasonable but now I believe we are just being put off.

From the office staff to the construction staff, everyone was kind and knowledgeable. They were always willing to help and answer any questions I had throughout the process.

Binu, our sales agent, was incredibly helpful and understanding throughout the entire process, and everyone else we interacted with was just as great. The friendliness and personal touch we experienced at Smith Douglas Homes – Houston was such a welcome change from other builders we spoke with.

Unlike our experience with a competitor, the honesty and integrity here were unmatched. From the first moment we walked in to the day we closed, everything we were told up front is exactly what we got. Nothing changed, no one was pushy or inconsistent, and we never felt pressured. It was a genuinely welcoming experience from start to finish.

Even after closing, we’ve stayed in touch with some of the team members who helped us along the way. We’ve already recommended Smith Douglas Homes to friends and family, and we’ll keep doing so. This has truly been a wonderful experience!

There were issues with a cracked tub that I can still feel the patch work, very disappointed that I bought a new house but got a damaged tub. Then Glen head construction manager/ Perri the realtor manager lied to the Amanda (Sr. Loan Officer), mortgage company stating that the tub was not cracked and it was only a scratch. We have pictures that clearly showed a long crack, as well as, verification from the house inspector otherwise I would not have been able to prove it. The site realtor, Robin was very rude became very unprofessional in her interaction with us (which was not the case in the past) and when we tried to get assistance and express my concern, the site construction manager stopped communicating with us. On the day of closing there were several things stilled not fixed in the house, especially the roof, which had several damage tiles and area that were pointed out prior in the inspector report. The closing was pushed back later that day for things to get fixed, pictures of the roof was supposed to be sent to us to show that the damaged tiles were fixed, but we never got it. My agent spoke to Perri, the realtor's manager and they were supposed to be compensating us and never followed back up. We were purchasing my son’s forever home, and it was disheartening to have such poor customer service, when asked about not closing on the house, we were told we will lose the over $22,000 we had deposited, so we had no choice but to go through with the closing.

They are extremely efficient. They answered all my questions. They made the process for me very easy. It was my first time buying a home, so a part of me being apprehensive about buying a home was not being familiar with the home buying process. Smith Douglas really helped my wife and I through the process and made it easy.

Kizech, the salesperson we were working with, was extremely patient. We asked him the same question multiple times, but it didn't deter him or exhaust him, he still answered. He was accessible via text or phone calls. I know he's busy, but he always got back with us. He is a very respectful young man.

Jordan was great!

From start to finish of the building process, Jeanette was our biggest cheerleader and guide to make sure our budget was considered and our home build was moving along. She was an excellent communicator, which made the whole building and moving process that much better. Kathy was also really thorough in ensuring the quality of our home build was top-tier. She was detail-oriented and cared about any concerns we brought up during walkthroughs and addressed them immediately- some while we were still with her.

Everybody was wonderful and helpful

At the end of the day, I would recommend Smith Douglas but only because of Mike Brigham and how hard he works his behind off to make things right. This is probably going to be one of the lengthiest surveys you have received, and I hope this is taken seriously and areas of concern are addressed. We got very concerned when we first joined the Facebook page for the neighborhood and saw all the issues new owners were having.

Our Smith Douglas Home became home very quickly. We have found quality in the construction and representatives.

I really didn't like all the nickle and diming for basic things being considered options. Was surprised there are no towel or toilet paper hdwr.
The grounds are absolutely terrible. All rock. Was very limited to come see.the houses progress. I got penalized and had to pay a hefty fee for having to push my closing a couple days. Salesman was extremely vulgar and rude when I had paperwork problems with the lender which led to the delay and added costs.
Also charged me for Saturday and Sunday which we never would have had the closing on the weekend anyway!
