We have bought many homes over the years, and this was by far our best experience. From the first time we walked into the sales center to the closing on our house McCaleb Homes listened, worked with us, and provided a very high quality build. We are beyond satisfied, and love our home and the community. We strongly recommend McCaleb Homes to anyone looking to build a home in Edmond. The community is beautiful and each house is unique. This likely will be our last home, and we feel we saved the best for last.

Further, our construction manager, Ty, was very organized and followed up on all of our questions as the build progressed. He was wonderful to work with. I feel that the home came together beautifully, and I could not have done it without them. Darcy in the sales office was our original point of contact, and was a delight to work with. Each person from McCaleb Homes we had contact with was friendly, professional, and efficient.

Additional Comments - Overall, I thought working with Ty was great, and the design process was fairly simple. However, if they could pull up a monitor so you could see exactly what you were looking at when it came to your home and the design of what you wanted to do, that would give you a better idea of what the items that are being installed in your home will look like. However, we are very happy with both the outcome and the process itself.

Likes & Dislikes - LIKES- excellent house design; the given design choices (and Terri has an excellent design sense) ; the appliance package; the cabinet quality; the real hardwood floors; the overall neighborhood feel (Town Square). DISLIKES- some builder unwillingness to make upgrades, even when we were relatively early in the building process; zero clearance fireplace (would have much preferred a masonry fireplace, even at the considerable added cost); six foot fences don’t really give sufficient privacy. We would have preferred eight foot.

Construction Quality - We made some minor changes to the floorplan before construction began. Plans were redrawn, exactly as we had requested, and when we have been able to make site visits, we've been very pleased with what we've seen. We've walked through at least a dozen other McCaleb homes at various stages of construction and are always pleased with what we see.

Problem Resolution

Problem Resolution - Ryan Hardy has been our project supervisor throughout most of our build. He has been available, easy to access, and is a good communicator of where we stand in the build. He's being shifted over within McCaleb to another neighborhood they are building, so we will be assigned Ty Higgins at our upcoming "trim walk". Every construction project will have its hiccups, but Ryan has calmly guided us through each resolution. Ty comes with a good reputation and background, so we are looking forward to working with him too.

Easier Than Expected

Easier Than Expected - Because of the timing of our build (2021 and 2022), there have been many delays and supply chain issues, unrelated to the normal McCaleb Home process. From where we stand, I believe McCaleb has navigated all this well. I think if we were to be buying this home contingent on the sale of another one, it could be quite gut wrenching just simply because of supply chain issues!

We would not recommend the community that we live in Bungalow Heights. The other communities appear to be higher quality and craftsmanship that this community by far. Price per square foot is the same as the other communities and we were advised by the McCaleb team that the quality and craftsmanship would be the same, which is not our experience.

Quality homebuilder of beautiful architecture.

During 4 months I have leaking shower, flooded garage, loosened burned electric wires, cracked tiles because of cracked foundation. Nothing has been done to repair shower or flooding problem. I have installed gutters at my expenses to stop garage flooding but it’s not enough as there is a construction problem with garage floor and driveway. The builder told me that it’s normal for garage to flood during rain, but it was not my plan to buy flooding garage. After repeated flooding, there will be mold eventually. I had cracked tile in the laundry room and after builder removed tile, there was huge crack in foundation which caused tile to crack. Time will tell what will happen next…

I wish to have a bathtub and walk-in shower in the master bedroom’s bathroom and towels hangers for big towels. I wish the guest bathroom had shelves for shampoo and etc. I wish the entryway was a little wider as delivery guys scratched the door frame during delivery of the fridge, I have to repair it now. I wish the filters were installed in the reachable area as they are on the ceiling. Regardless, I love my house, it is comfortable and beautiful.

Covid was an issue, there was a lot of miscommunication, and the timeline agreed upon was not met, there were some issues in my house in regards of being delayed, we closed and they are still doing some work in my house. the quality and time weren't matched to my expectations.

From the moment we walked into the model and met with Kailey, we felt like we were home. We had toured several other new home communities, but this particular community of Town Square just felt "right" for us. Not only did Kailey spend time answering all of my initial questions while we were there (we were on a limited time schedule due to needing to leave to catch a flight back to California), but she was quick to respond to all my emails and texts for the next 3 weeks after we met, until we decided to put down a deposit on the lot we wanted. I know I was a thorn in her side with all of my questions, but she was always quick to respond and was friendly and personable and made me feel like we were part of their extended family. Aside from the wonderful service, McCaleb homes offers high quality homes with many included features as part of their standard package that many other communities would up-charge for. They also work with you to customize many of their finishes as well. This has truly been a wonderful experience and we can't wait to move into our new home!

Our situation wasn't ideal since we are out of state. We have visited the community a few times, been through models and attended the parade of home last year. We've studied floorplans and elevations online. We've communicated with the online marketing staff throughout. Due to an increase in lot sales and an upcoming price increase we decided to work through the process of executing a construction contract via Zoom and phone with the sales person. It's amazing that's even possible! It was challenging with Q&A and discussions along the way but with the sales person's help, we finalized the contract in time.

We had an excellent experience with McCaleb Homes from the selection of the lot to closing. We were really impressed with the materials and attention to detail. We highly recommend them to any of our friends.
