The company was started in 1951 as a partnership with Lloyd G. Flint, Jr. and two Realtors at Steptoe Patteson. Lloyd Flint developed and ran the construction end of the business. It evolved into the Home Builders of Lynchburg, Inc. In 1960 the business was divided and Mr. Flint took over the construction division. Soon after the name was changed to L.G. Flint Inc. L. G. Flint’s eldest son Bob Flint, CGR, joined the company in 1975 after his military service and work as an engineer. His commitment to quality is shared by the staff of experienced, full time employees. Well supervised teams of skilled craftsmen give the company the capability and flexibility to keep projects moving, even under challenging conditions.
Bob’s son Andy Flint joined the Company in 1997 and is now President of L. G. Flint supported by a strong team of Executives, Superintendents and Staff, some of whom have been with the Company for over 20 years. Hide

Recognized Excellence - Riley, Angelos, and Amy were all spectacular. Earnie the plumber and his son were also very helpful. Amy kept the Project moving smoothly, keeping me updated regularly. Riley has a great sense of humor and managed the work artfully and listened to issues I raised,solving those with great efficiency. This was an excellent experience all around.

We were very pleased with our choice of Flint from the get go :) Emily came with designs of our vision for a remodel of our bath, bedroom and beautiful walk in closet within days. Even when a couple of things were changed, during construction, they were discussed with the team to see what would be a better fit for the finished design. Work began promptly on the agreed start date. There was always an open line of communication via phone, text & email with Emily & the team. We were always apprised of whom would be working on said days, when there would be no work, etc. ie, deconstruction first, duct work, plumbers, etc. Granted, there were some days when appointed worker(s) could not make it due to time constraints on other sites, but they were normally back to us within a day or two (It does happen in this type of business, so be patient) Again, we are very, very pleased with the final product and will be working again with L.G. Flint for any future remodels to our home & business.

The team at L.G. Flint are professional, knowledgeable and skilled. Throughout the project they made insightful recommendations and stayed on top of the project. The schedule fell short but that was due to missed supplier schedules and holidays. I would absolutely recommend them to others and plan to use them on my next home project.

They truely brought our vision to life...with 4 boys in a three bedroom house we either had to move or add to our house, we truely did not want to move from our location. They listened to everything we asked for and somehow made our little old ranch style house look like it has always been a story and a half house. It is one thing making sketches for us and giving us an idea of what we wanted, but to truely go beyond that and build what they did, my hats off to them.
