Various issues with the home should have been resolved prior to us moving in (e.g., concrete cracked or missing in front of the home, the home street light didn't work - wiring not connected, poor paint jobs, and a host of other issues).

My new home is beautiful and the builder incentives were unbeatable!

My current group of friends are not interested in housing yet and those that are already own a home.

The builder is taking shortcut in achieving safety standards. For example, leaving a big gap under the garage service door instead of providing the proper ventilation for the garage. Complaint but was disregarded.

The quality is not satisfactory. The backyard screen door is already out of place and is missing a part, the sprinkler cover came out by itself without any reason, the smoke detector came out of place by itself without any reason. The a/c unit didn’t work and had to reach out to a subcontractor to fix it. It took him 4 trips to fix the problem and he mentioned it was not done correc originally by the builder.

The initial sales team is knowledgeable and easy to work with, also prompt with their replies. The “superintendent” and customer care representatives that are to ensure the quality, integrity, and service of the newly purchased home of issues would be addressed but it was clear during walkthrough not to bother the superintendent. During my first walk through there were still issues that were marked and haven’t been addressed, the reply I received was you still have your 30 day to address the same issues.The walkthrough representative was helpful and advocated for the items to be fixed but seems to be at the mercy of the contractors. There was a large hole between the kitchen cabinets and the “patch” was to nail a random wood plank. This is one (if not the biggest) major purchase for an individual and to treat the quality and service for a newly purchased home like buying product at a second hand thrift store is disheartening. Most of the JMC staff are overall courteous,and professional as a consumer the message being relayed is the compromise to save the company money by side stepping service and quality.

Additional Comments - My entire experience with JMC Homes has been so great, everything ran smoothly & was so well organized. The super, Shawn, did a great job with everything in my house, helped make a very overwhelming purchase much easier. Vince did a lovely job during my walk through, provided great education about everything in the house. I love my home, thank you JMC!!

Why JMC Homes? - After looking around at new houses, I felt that JMC had the best product and the best construction and offered a lot of amenities. And I absolutely love the outdoor covered patio. That was a big selling point for me.

Lots of people to contact with any problems. Very kind and helpful.

They were very good at selling the home, and pressuring me to use their preferred lender. I had everything in order, but still cost almost $6,000 because I was mislead on information. The selling agent was great, but behind the scenes, even after closing, they needed to come look at some things. They keep pushing me back and/or don't show up when they saying they're going to show up. I was supposed to have 30-day walk through after close, but they told me basically I'm not eligible for that anymore. I can't get ahold of anyone. It was just a tough experience. During the initial process, I came to look at home, and Lance told me to leave and I couldn't be there to look while it was being built. I didn't know, so it was my fault, but he could've been nicer about it. When I escalated it to management, they told me he's not a people person. They could've handled it differently.

I will recommend JMC but I was not happy with the quality of certain products which was not similar to the depicted models

Favorite Feature - It is ours. I wake up every single day and I tell my husband that I absolutely love our house. We love it so much, you step out and everyone is always smiling and waving. We love everything about it.

The product delivery and the support was excellent.

Debbie in the front office was awesome! We were on a short time crunch due to being served a 60 day notice and Debbie made sure the house was done and we were able to move in on our goal move date.

Quality of house. Finish and customer responsibilities.

They were on time. The transaction was very smooth and easy. Debbie was very thorough and explained everything. Everything happened quickly as they promised. They helped me with the bank mortgage and made changes. Water was leaking in one spot, so they came and put in a new one. They are quick in addressing issues.

For being our first home (and being in our early 20s), the process was organized extremely well and was very easy to follow. I could not recommend Jim Stout more, he was absolutely amazing and added so much joy to the whole process. We are very happy we chose JMC!

Overall, my experience with JMC Homes has been a positive one. There have been a few minor hiccups along the way but what has happened to my husband and I may not happen to anyone else. I know the things to look out for and would be able to tell friends what to look for when touring a JMC built home.
