The finished product was fine. Their customer service was horrible. Their project manager, Andrew, cussed me out. There was an issue where there was leakage in the roof. Andrew told me he had too much stuff to do and cussed. When I asked him to apologize, he threatened to leave without fixing the roof. The sales experience was fine. When Home Genius Exteriors - Cleveland found out that I had changed my rating from five stars to one star, they seemed to care more about winning an award than taking care of their customers.
Work was done but the contract didn’t say what was done and what the names of the materials were used. Also I was told that the back of my garage where the aluminum panel came off would be covered with some type of material. It took quite a few calls to the service company to get it done by the next month which was only putting the aluminum panel back up. Wayyy too expensive.
The sales woman was very knowledgeable, however the team did not speak English and it was difficult to communicate with them. The project manager showed up once at the beginning and never saw him again. The project was not started on the date promised and the steps to complete the gutters after the roof was delayed by several days. I was inconvenienced throughout the entire project.
There was no communication between us and the company. Said they would be there but would not show up. I understand the weather comes to play in these instances, but a phone call would have been nice. Also, we have been trying to get someone to come out to look over the work to close out the account, but no one will call us back. Told us when the dumpster would be removed, but that was incorrect. We were told the dumpster would have to stay where it was until Monday. The dumpster was between the gate, blocking the exit so we couldn't get our cars out. When someone finally come out late Saturday morning, he was not pleasant at all and was downright nasty because he had to come out on his day off, to get rid of the dumpster. Our roof was completed in January, and they had to come back to finish the back porch roof. This only happened because we kept calling and hounding them to finish it. We are now going into May, and no one has come out yet to verify the work was completed properly.
I’m still waiting for my windows
Your company seems a little pushy.
The weekend was done I was told it would be wednesday not monday.
They were timely, they did what they said they would do, the materials were high quality. I was 110% satisfied.
No - not for the high price they charged. For sure oversold and under-delivered given what the job cost.
The work was done fast and cleanup was excellent. Very well organized team of workers.
They did ok
I would probably say that a simple replacement would go well and would recommend the warranty, but my installations is not go smoothly.
Price is TOO high
I would recommend to friends and family.
Was told one thing on financing and then when contract comes in was NOT what was agreed upon!! Unfortunately, work was already started! :( See comments about clean up and damage
could not understand the workers although they did a good job. Andrew Holko was never available and they left a fan on the roof that was not working.
Quick to get approved. Showed what your options and of prices and products available quoted price and time frame. Answer all questions and help find a budget you can afford. 4 days later got a new roof in one day.
Clean install look great.. fair price too.J
Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.
I don't know anyone who would agree to spend so much.
The quality of product used is excellent, and the Owens Corning platinum installation was a great selling point and I am satisfied with the materials used. However, the communication and follow up during the project was subpar at best. I found myself reaching out for updates and correcting internal communication issues within Home Genius between sales, the project managers, and the installers.
The roofing work was very good except for some damage done that needs to be fixed...a window screen on the back of the house is torn and the overhang above the front door was knocked loose and needs to be reattached.
Very knowledgeable, organized and professional. Maintained all lines of communication effectively. Installation crews were organized and professional. The job site was kept clean and safe.
Not happy with sales tactics. Poor follow-up commitment. Follow-up inspection was sloppy.
Workers were on time and completed the job in one day. They also did a good job of cleaning up after themselves.
I'm not happy with Home Genius' salesman, Joey Bevaoqua's, follow-up after he inked the sale.He promised me that he would provide me with the pictures of my roof and attic interior that he took that showed problem areas my roof had. He made that promise to seal the deal. Since then, I have made several calls & sent emails to Joey to fulfill his promise. He has not returned my calls or emails or sent the pictures I requested. The person who showed up to do the follow-up inspection did so without his camera, so I don't know what he could have possibly been inspecting? I had to show him my gutter that was not reattached properly despite the fact that I mentioned it to Andrew when he came out during the installation. I pointed it out & said 'will that be put back the way it was' and he assured me it would.I'm 79 years old and I feel I'm being taken advantage of. Furthermore, I feel the agreement I signed is not worth the paper it is printed on if I can't get anyone to respond to me. My guarantee is supposed to be good for 25 years; but, if no one is actually on the other side to help me with the simplest request, what good is it. I plan to go to the Better Business Bureau to complain. My phone number is: 440-461-4208. Call me with some answers.
Home Genius was not the lowest bid I received for this project. In fact, it was the highest but they were the only ones who took the time to explain to me what I was getting for my investment. Everyone was very informative and thorough throughout the process.
I had one issue with the entire process and that was the project manager. He was rude and was trying to get his workers to "cover up" big holes in the plywood with just the siding and not replace the sheets of plywood. Once that was resolved, everything was done correctly.
