Our commercial buildout with Hogan Design and Construction was an incredibly meaningful project for our team at Spidr Design. The build took just over one year from planning through completion, and now that we have been in our headquarters for a full year, we can confidently say the outcome has been a major milestone for our company.

We are proud to have brought a modern office buildout to downtown Aurora, creating a headquarters for Spidr Design in the city where our company first began. This location has already supported our continued growth.

The completed space includes a reception and gathering area, individual offices, open concept workspaces, a break room, and a conference room with an east facing river view. Designing our office with the downtown backdrop, including the historic Post Office building, was an important part of the vision.

Hogan Design and Construction maintained strong communication and organization throughout the project and made the entire process transparent. They connected us with excellent suppliers and worked with us in their design studio to select the materials that shaped the overall look and feel. They used Buildertrend software to keep us informed with schedules and progress photos. They were accommodating when we required Union contractors and were flexible with changes as the project evolved. They encouraged our participation in the quality review stages and consistently welcomed feedback, which made the experience feel inclusive and well supported.

The final build includes custom wood panel features, a live moss wall, a rolling ladder bookcase, stained concrete floors, and a hidden overhead garage door placed above the drop ceiling. Every detail was executed with precision and care. After a full year in the space, we continue to appreciate the craftsmanship, comfort, and functionality of the design.

His high standards, excellent communication skills and attention to detail has resulted in absolutely beautiful craftsmanship throughout in the two projects. As an occupational therapist, I have worked with many different contractors to design and modify home bathrooms/kitchens/entryways based upon specific client needs, both in remodels and new construction. John has CAPS (Certified Aging in Place Specialist) training, and it shows! He respectfully understands the need for specialized design and ensures that it is built precisely with excellent workmanship on the part of all workers and subcontractors. Recognition is also extended to Jason, who functioned as our 'backup project manager'. He was always up-to-date on every aspect of our projects, problem solved with subcontractors and communicated regularly. It is obvious that Hogan Design and Construction has quality employees through and through, and demands the same excellence from its subcontractors. Hogan Design and Construction went above and beyond to make sure our project was finished on time and to our satisfaction. Even though we made some changes to the design partway through construction, they finished ahead of time and made sure that we were truly happy with every aspect of the project. All of their workmen and subcontractors were timely, polite, and most importantly, excellent at their work. The new work in the house flows so seamlessly with the original work, you can't tell it was a remodel at all instead of the original design. Hogan is definitely an investment, but if you want the work done right and on time, it is well worth it!
