As my schedule doesn’t allow for me to be here as was apparent after the fact, the response to and completness of the entire system included are as follows . Damaged but not noted for further consideration were The roof issue the air intake system the thermostat and ac/heater documents should be checklisted to assure satisfaction
They did a really great job! It looks beautiful.
The company was very good, and the work they did was of high quality.
Extremely frustrating and disappointing. Make sure you get every detail in writing.
Their salesman was a bit pushy but the work was done vey well.
They seemed to do a really good clean-up job. My son, who delivers roofing material, looked at the material used, the staples, nails, and paper, and said it was top-notch, first quality material, unlike his company. The quality of the material that they used looked like it was a really good roof.
On time and very thorough with the house and the painting, repairing some of the wood and stucco. They did a pretty good job. Very thorough
Do not use this company. They are shysters, they tell you that you are getting one thing and you get something else. They are high-pressure salespeople. You think you are getting the Cadillac of all roofs but you are getting a dog. They are unprofessional and the quality of workmanship is very poor. I would never use them or recommend them to anyone. They should not be in business. Beware of Genesis. I am a single female who was totally taken advantage of.
I am a little dissatisfied with the work. They were supposed to roll the roof when it is hot; they came back and did a litlle roll job, but the roofer said they need to come back when it is hot, and they have not been back in three weeks.
The wiring on the poles on the top are supposed to be fastened and it is not done yet; the door bell wire is broken and I have not heard anything in over a month and now the roof is leaking and I have not contacted them yet; otherwise a good job. I have called and text several times to get my warranty and I have not gotten any information returned to me yet.
They were very polite very professional and considerate when it comes to Covid precautions, they had masks on and they picked up and cleaned everything.
They met all of our expectations!
I would recommend Genesis to family and friends. Very happy with their work
Genesis was very easy to work with and their communication with me was great. Any problems were resolved quickly.
Genesis Home Improvements came out after the weather decided to cooperate with us as we had a lot of rain for a couple of weeks. Nevertheless, they came out. The people that did the work were so pleasant and so nice! They were gentlemen, too! They did the work. They did the priming. They did the patching. They did the painting and I was very pleased with all the men who helped on this project. It was great! I would do it again, definitely! But, I don't have to because the house wont need to be painted for quite a while!
The service was impeccable. I was very satisfied and pleased with the results.
Every single question was answered. Work was completed fast. Everything was cleaned up
Genesis seems like a company that is built on trust and customer satisfaction. The employees and sales staff seem to be really happy about working with the company, and that speaks very highly of the company. It seems like an honest forthright company. I think they did a really good job, and I have no problems recommending them.
I am very happy, they did a professional job , people were courteous and friendly.
The workmanship is really good.
They do a good job. Robert, Sam, and Luis were a great team.
I would recommend that you don't give them the final payment until you are sure the job is complete because service scheduling is not very good.
I already have recommended them. They have come and done a tear off, roof replacement, and new windows. They wouldn't have kept coming out if they weren't doing something right.
They are quick to sell and install but they don't necessarily provide the quality work that they talk about. They are in and out and leave you with whatever has been thrown together by the work team. No management, no supervision, and they don't deliver on the promises made.
We bought a house in January and noticed a small leak in April and decided to fully re-do our flat roof rather than patch and wait to see if anything else leaked over time. We wanted to go with a reputable company that could give us the confidence that our home investment was protected with a solid and reliable roof for many years to come. We chose Genesis because, though more expensive than other quotes, a roof is a big deal and we liked their promise of professionalism and warrantee. Come down to it, they talked a big game of project managers and inspections, but far under delivered on those promises. There was reluctant involvement from the project manager (we had to call our sales rep multiple times to even reach the project guy because he would not return our calls). Meanwhile, they started sending us billing statements before any of our complaints were addressed or responded to. See below….
Fast response time. A rep came by with a quote and presentation within a day. He was very nice and thorough. We mentioned the leak and he moved our roof up in priority. Within the week, they were scraping our roof off and putting the replacement on.
Fast work time. Out and done in three days, as they promised. On time and very friendly roofers.
Warrantee (based on how difficult repairs on their incomplete work, we’ll see how that holds up)
Hard workers. The roofers worked on a 100+ degree day, and they worked hard. They didn’t quite finish in the two day window, but we had called and given them permission to reschedule to a cooler day or take longer as needed. Even so, they powered through.
Cut power to our AC/Heat. Tried our AC after the work was done and it would not turn on. We called to report this and they asked “are you sure it worked before?” no apology or offer to come inspect. Of course we were sure, we just completed a home inspection during our buy! After two weeks of calls, they sent their roof guy out to inspect, who then told us everything looked fine on their end, but admitted he knew nothing about power… he’s “just a roofer and all the cables seemed to be in the right places”. Two more weeks of calls went by before they sent an electrician to look at it. The electrician notified us that the power to the unit had been cut by the roofing team during their demo work. It took him all day in and out of our house clearing hallway cabinets and closets throughout the house (without a mask during COVID quarantine, mind you…) to crawl deep enough into the space where he could patch and repair the wire. They never offered compensation (hey, we sent a guy out) and never apologized.
Caused a new leak in our kitchen. Removed and discarded a cap on an old vent in the kitchen. When it rained the ceiling became discolored and damp. They came back and replaced the cap, but left us to do the repair in the kitchen ceiling.
Broke a vent pipe causing a second new leak. A pipe above a vent in our bedroom was cracked in the process and caused a large puddle to form on our newly installed $3K bamboo flooring causing minor damage to our floor (that we had to fix). After another few phone calls they came back and inspected and fixed the pipe and acknowledged breaking it, but no apologies or compensation offered.
Left the roof discolored. Without consulting us, they scraped off large portions of transitional roofing material leaving the roof terribly discolored. Because it is a flat, multilayer roof, it is visible from ground level and is awful looking. Once their work was complete, they told us about it and offered that they could quote us to come back and paint it. Yes, they want to charge us to come back and paint it!!!
Left a mess of gravel and roofing materials around the perimeter of our property. A month later and I’m still finding pieces all around in plants, on sides of the house etc. They sell a big “zero mess” job in their pitch, but didn’t deliver on that. We’ll have to pay a professional to sweep it out of the terracotta shingle overhang around our door. Meanwhile, I’ll continue to pull the sticky bits out of my potted geraniums.
Allowed roofing material to fall into roof vents so that it came out in sprinkles over time. Came home to find our white bedding peppered with roofing material – black and white gravel substance, some sticky black pieces.
GuildQuality partners with it's member companies to survey their customers and collect detailed feedback on their behalf. By administrating surveys as an unbiased third party we ensure that customers have the opportunity to express their true feelings about a project and that members get the most accurate and detailed feedback possible.
When a survey contains the "Review" question, that customer's answer will show up on the member's profile page as a public review. Members have the option to turn off reviews but cannot hide individual reviews. It's all or nothing. This means that any reviews you see on a GuildQuality profile page are real comments left by the customer and verified by GuildQuality.
Each item listed under "Customer satisfaction" represents a specific question asked by GuildQuality to customers of Genesis Home Improvements as part of our survey process. The bar graph and percentage next to the question stand for the percentage of respondents that were "Satisfied" about that particular question.
A customer is considered satisfied about about a question if they answered with 4 or more stars out of 5. For example if the "Communication" question is at 95% satisfaction that means that 95% of survey respondents answered that question with 4 or more stars out of 5 possible stars.More about surveys
