1) The salesman sold the product well, but on my "official quote" he wrote that i would pay $65.00 a month for 5 years. Being a senior and only income is my Social Security check, this was the selling point.. After install was under way, a field manager ( Randy ) showed up with completely different figures, showing that I had to pay over double that. What do you do now? My windows were out at this point. With a promise to look into it, Randy left.
To his credit, he was very professional every time I spoke with him and he saw my delima. He worked very hard to get my payments down to what I was promised. Made a few offers to try and help but the bottom line is I'm now paying $67.09 every month for 10 yrs. Not the $65.00 per month for 5 years like I was promised. It REEKS of the bait and switch complaints that this company has already been found guilty of before.
I was given an " OFFICIAL QUOTE". Nothing changed. The scope of the work was the same. The only thing that changed was Im now paying twice as much as I was promised.
Secondly, the salesman put down my address incorrectly. I attempted to get in contact with him but he never answered or returned my calls. I called FHIA and the finance company several times but both said to call the other. I told the person who came to measure my windows and he said to call the finance company. All in all, I made no fewer than 15 calls to finally straighten this out. The God's honest truth, I dont know if its finally fixed or not,nor at this point do I care.
Yes, great windows! Reduce the outside sounds and heat from coming in. Very helpful and courteous managers and installers.
They kept me informed every step of my window installation!
Freddy and his crew were very sweet and very professional! They came in, took stock of what needed done and didn't stop until it was completed. Sebastian checked in during the process and explained about the inspector coming the next day and made sure all was well.
They were clean, polite, didn't waste time setting up, tearing out and went right to work on the removal and putting in new windows. Only one spoke English but we all communicated . Clean up was quick, reusing the rolls of paper and plastic used to cover floors and furniture. I made them a bag of cookies before they left. Inspector who came by to check their work was very pleased and said your company does the best work around.
the installer's worked fast with quality workmanship and even placed marble on the sil
Very polite, friendly always answering my questions
Professionalism and Efficiency
Very professional, courteous and clean
The team was very thorough in the installation of windows. I appreciated the updates of the process throughout the entire job from start to finish.
I love the look of my new windows - they actually make the windows in my house look bigger. It really updated the look of the house.
On time, attention to detail and nice job trying to minimize dirt and debris from surrounding areas. Finished ahead of schedule
The men who performed the work on site were the best. I highly recommend them. The job was imperfectly organized, and communications were unreliable and individuals difficult to reach. Reliable execution of commitments was poor. There were ten double pane windows ordered. The job was completed well after it should have been. Nine were installed and the tenth was single paned. Why install a window that would have caused the inspector to fail the job? Why even load it in the trailer?
The original in home appointment on April 24th went well. Representative was friendly and well informed.
Appointment for measurements on May 2nd went well gentlemen were courteous and professional.
Installers arrived at 0940 May 31st they completed all work and clean up before they left at 1910. The obvious exception was to remedy the single pane window. Covers for window fasteners were to be installed after county inspection.
County inspection cancelled on June 6th until single pane window issue was remedied. Order for replacement double pane was never confirmed as promised. June 30th the single pane window was replaced. July 2nd the county inspection was passed. No representative from FHIA was on site as we were told there would be. July 22 FHIA was contacted regarding window fasteners strips . There were too few to cover all windows and no one had come to install them. There were enough strips to finish seven of ten windows and I performed that work myself. I was assured the work would be finished soon after the needed strips were obtained. I was contacted that men would come out to complete the work and I volunteered to perform the work my self on the remaining six 32” strips as I had performed all the other installations. On August 6th FedEx delivered the needed strips and a few more. I completed installation and contacted the number originally accredited to Isabel and received a timely reply. Rare on this job for other contacts.
Excellent quality product. Solid, sturdy and beautiful. Great communication throughout the process. Easy to do business with.
I would recommend FHIA Remodeling for any home improvement.
The process was smooth and the crew worked very diligently
Prompt, friendly and knowledgeable
It was upfront and painless.
Great experience I was having some personal issues and they storage my windows for about two months I highly appreciate it
Francisco's crew was very professional and great with making sure floor and necessary furniture was covered; cleanup was great!
Sales fully discussed I was approved for the MSF Grant and was assured my reproof project would meet all requirements. I was told FHIA had completed many MY SAFE FLORIDA GRANT Projects in my area and the peel and stick would be one of the roof deck coverings.
After the Wind Mit was performed I was told the required peel and stick was not installed on my roof. The Inspector was not able to ascertain this after reading my contract and also was unable to find it during the inspection so they called FHIA Corp and was told it was not applied to my new roof deck. I did not receive any Insurance discounts and will no longer be the receiving the Grant. FHIA mgmt blamed the salesman and the distributor. No resolve has been discussed.
Also, during the installation of my new roof i witnessed two children under the age of 12 cutting metal without gloves so I gave them gloves. They were on site during the entire construction project, picking up nails and misc trash.
In closing, I was called everyday asking for the balance of my invoice. I conveyed i was not comfortable paying the balance until the Final Permit was issued. FHIA continued to tell me it would done "today" and they wanted their money. The City continued to tell me they were missing the Nail and Sheathing affidavit was missing. This went on for a WEEK. On the day I paid the balance the City confirmed they had received the required affidavit and would be out that day for the Final Inspection and recommended I not pay FHIA until the Final Inspection had been completed. Two men and a boy came to get the balance due. I paid them WITHOUT THE FINAL PERMIT. I AM STILL WAITING ON THE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE.
Showed up on time. Did a decent job cleaning up after themselves. I did find a few screws outside around the house.
Workmanship is great! Crew is kind and very helpful! Very satisfied!
From the very first phone call, every person that I contacted with were professional, knew the answer to every question considerate of my situation in depth explanation of everything concerning the project, I just was overwhelmed. I was just thrilled. From Jerry, in Sales, Tara in Scheduling and Ahmad in Scheduling, Francisco and Alejandro did the actual project. They were the best crew you could ever hope for really took care of my house. Very considerate of getting every detail perfect.
The BJ's representative was very helpful and pleasant. The installers who came were friendly, did their work and cleaned up when they were finished.
