Do yourself a huge favor, If you are going to deal with him please MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR THE TOTAL COST OF HIS SERVICE AND PARTS UPFRONT before allowing him to do any work. Why?Just had a negative experience with Clark's plumbing LLC in Middletown, DE because he just ripped me off when it came to pricing for plumbing by charging my wife and I almost $1600 for replacing one faucet and fixing a leak from another by installing two valves. In addition, the shower was not turning all the way to the right hand side and he replaced the part for that too. That was all the work he did for us.
Here is my story and negative experience about an hour ago here in Delaware. He came to service my leaking faucet earlier today in Smyrna, DE and came off originally as a nice guy trying to grow his business. However, I had a terrible experience with him after the job was done because he failed to disclose the cost of his work (labor) or parts before doing the work Instead he waited till the job was done to reveal his EXCESSIVE PRICE and true color. He did not give us any estimated cost upfront or a choice to decline his excessive cost. We fell for his tactic because previous plumbing cost were never that expensive plus its the holidays and we just wanted our faucet fixed but now we regret doing so because Fletcher Plumbing offered to do the same job for a total cost of $350 but they were not going to be available until the following day. (December 27, 2022). Therefore we budgeted for a little over $350 based on fletcher's estimate. Worst case scenario I expected to spend at-most a couple of hundred dollars more but instead we were over charged by Clarks plumbing LLC. Please heed the negative reviews Clarks plumbing has online because based on my experience, they are probably valid. When I questioned him about charging almost $1600 for what fletcher was going to charge $350 for, he began to ramble without justification and could not give a valid reason or specifics for the cost of his work instead he pulled out some app and kept going on and on. I'm highly disappointed and feel taken advantage of therefore please heed this review and save yourself from a similar and terrible experience. He even left without furnishing us a receipt and is no longer receptive to text or calls after we called him out on his misleading tactic. If you take anything away from his review then MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR THE TOTAL COST OF HIS SERVICE AND PARTS UPFRONT before allowing him to do any work unless you want to have a negative and expensive experience of hiring a plumber!
