Job still not done after almost a year!
They were very polite and fun to talk to.
The quality of the windows we received are well above anything i could source locally. Id seriously advise you to give them a try if your considering window replacements.
When the salesperson showed up we went over everything I wanted and that my grand children wanted. My request was paint match since I just had the house painted. I gave Ryan Fassler the paint colors and was told that could be done great, my grand children wanted to make sure that no one could see through the windows while standing at the door. Ryan showed us the different windows and my grand daughter picked out the gemini windows I thought that everything was good Ryan filled out the paper work and I signed the contract. My mistake was not verifying everything carefully. Thursday September 12 @ 9:28 AM I get a call from Jared from Champion Home exterior the district sales manager for Seattle and Portland about the colors and how I wanted the painting done they would not be able to match the colors so I would have to pick from their colors. Jared was very helpful and walked me through everything. I wish that I would have known that Ryan the sales person had put down the incorrect window number at that point, I'm sure that Jared would have gotten it corrected. When they showed up to install the door they removed my existing door then they got my door from the truck and I immediately go out and said that is not the correct windows. The installer Igor says there is nothing that they can do about it but install what they have. I went in and looked at the catalog that we had looked through when we ordered the door and windows, and the door was correct but the windows were not. After checking over the contract what I found out was that Ryan had written down the incorrect number for the windows. The installation crews said all they could do was make note of it. One of the installers wrote on the service order that the 2 side lites around entry door need to be obscure. When I called the office and told the person that answered the phone what the problem was she said that she would get back to me in about 5 minutes. I finally got a call back from Ryan who said I remember your granddaughter but don't recall the window conversation. But said you know you can go to Home Depot and purchase a privacy window film that you can install. Thanks glad I paid 7290.00 dollars for a door that if I want it the way we talked about all I have to do is go purchase another product and install it my self. Then I call Lynn Layer National Customer Service Manager and ask for my money back for the door handle that was not installed. What I received back from her was a little surprising. Lynn Layer writes back to me I have review the information and we are willing to refund you 212.00 for the door handle that was not installed, please let me know if you agree so that I can send you an agreement for you to sign. When I get the agreement back I called her an informed her that the was no way I was going to sign a discount agreement and release of claims form. They could keep the money because I would rather be able to go on line and leave an honest review about the way they do business. Lynn Layer did offer to change the windows to the correct ones for an additional 2000.00 dollars. Thanks for nothing.
Outstanding service by Jared, our salesman. The entire team at Champion gave us better than expected service and the product is amazing. Our home looks brand new and we are happy with the reduction in street noise as well as the elimination of drafts from our old windows. We absolutely will recommend Champion to anyone who asks. Reasonably priced for the quality and service and no doubt Champion Windows are beautiful!!!
The staff was very helpful, when my order came in they let me know that it did not look right an suggested that I make another selection. I did and very happy with that.
It’s been a couple months and so far everything is great. I would recommend Champion Windows from experience I had.
From start to finish the project was stressful and frustrating. I gave Chris the HOA Requirements before we signed the contract... he did NOT read them... then I was charged 1900 out of 3800 plus additional monies to pay for my windows. Chris said the job would take 1 day... then I was told 2 and then I was told 3 but the job took 9 days. There was very little clean up and the crew did not wear shoes protectors in my house... I do not wear shoes in my house so all the floors needed to be deep cleaned. I do feel the windows are quality and the work performed was well done...
Comparable quality to Anderson at 1/3 the price!
Our sales rep was helpful, and our installer was great, but the window frames themselves are chunky and not as detail-oriented as I was hoping for.
Champion Windows of Portland did a really good job! I was satisfied with the work that they did. They were knowledgable about everything and even the siding guy pointed out some pitfalls that I have that I need to look into. They absolutely did a wonderful job!
You have a HUGE problem with calls re-routed to your corporate office in the midwest. When I need to talk to the local folks....i.e. salesman, scheduler, installer....i absolutely don't want/need to go through Cincinnati, or where ever your CEO is. Big problem, and this is a new problem. We had Champion install windows several years ago and did NOT run into this. I strongly recommend you use the local office to field your local calls.
From the sales to the installation I received great service from Champion Windows of Portland.
3 installers showed up the first day. 2 guys put the easiest window in then left without saying anything to me. Nathan worked until 9 that night by himself and two other days until late, by himself. He wasn't given any help. He did an excellent job but it took time and was hard on him. The products seem good but management needs to pay more attention to detail and schedules.
I worked with Champion in another state and had an amazing experience. Moved to a different state and had a rather unprofessional and disheartening experience this time around. Promises were not kept. Payment delay that could've been avoided of staff were to notified me. Rescheduling install because not all our doors/windows came in. Only good thing to come of my experience was the great installers that to know fault of their own had to ask a lot of questions and clarifying points because the work order was so unclear. If the installers worked separately from Champion I would use them again in a heartbeat...but unfortunately will be finding a different company for any future needs!
I chose Champion Windows because I was shown the product, found it was manufactured in the US, and was close in price to a competitor’s. The scheduling was easy once I was ready. The installation crew was friendly, clean, and knowledgeable. Since our home is an old build nothing was square and it was impressive to see them adjust everything to produce fully functional windows (we had 4 large windows and 1 huge window that where challenging).Thank you to everyone!
I'll admit, I was extremely nervous about using Champion based on the numerous horrible experiences across the country. I believe this is based upon the leadership from the franchise owner in a particular area Everything went great with the Portland branch. Sales rep was on time and not high pressure. The windows appeared of better quality than I had seen from competitors. Measurement was on time. The 11 windows I had manufactured showed up in half the time they stated, only about 3 weeks. Installation was on time and able to install everything in one day where they said it may be two. One of the night latches were broken so this was reported and fixed very quickly. What a difference from 100 year old single panes. I was sad to see them go, but the upgrade was well worth it. I hope the quality of the window holds up over time. I am pleased with my experience and would recommend Champion of Portland. I would use them again.
Champion Windows of Portland is very courteous, kind, and on time.
The windows make a big difference and the service and installation was on point. Thanks!
While the installation went great, it took 6 weeks to get them scheduled. In addition, I was told by the salesperson that I had to replace two windows entirely. When the installers came, they told me that based on the damage, I could have just replaced the glass, not the entire window. So, it was VERY expensive, when it really didn't need to be. I felt taken advantage of for money.
The whole experience went so well, even though the weather wasn't. Joe was very professional and returned our calls or emails in a timely manner. Trevor showed a work ethic rarely seen by the young these days. He was meticulus in his work whether it was working on building the room or cleaning up. The gate was always closed when he went home, which rarely happens when people come into our backyard. We couldn't be more pleased with them!
Don't do it if you expect your windows to be delivered without defects the first time. I placed my order in July '18, they were supposed to be installed in September of '18, but when they showed up. Half of the windows had defects. It took two extra tries for them to get the windows right. Apparently this never happens, but I was the lucky one.
They did outstanding work.
There were some issues with the install of my windows and doors, yet Champion did resolve all in the end.
