outside water pipe broke the tech said they would have to go thru my living room wall and fix the pipe then I would need to get a contractor to repair the wall. is it standard to hold a cooling unit up by a belt to prevent it from leaning? this belt slipped and was tighten to again to prevent it from leaking

A belt doesn't sound like the proper material to hold anything related to air conditioning
