We hired Bestway basements in Dec 2018 and they started installation in April 2019. Confirmed the job would take 3 weeks max. Job took 6 weeks because 1) the contractors that take these Bestway installs have other jobs going on so you don’t have any oversight on the job and workers only show up maybe 3 days a week for a couple of hours. 2) needed to continuously look over their shoulder to ensure short cuts were not happening /corrected. Example: cardboard under the vinyl plank floor in a basement- can we SAY MOLD!! Or when the vinyl plank flooring was not connected together, had gaps and I had to call Steve (other owner?/ don't see him mentioned on any of Weblinks) and send pictures so the floor would be corrected. Unfortunately, I had work and did not catch all the shortcuts, so I missed the fact that the shower liner was pieced together from scraps. Fast forward 2 years and we discover that the shower was leaking under the vinyl floor all of that time. We needed to state legal action would be taken before we got a response. Matt ,the owner listed on I weblinks, and John, the lead contractor, came over to the house to inspect. John said as the contractor he can’t help if he hires an unqualified plumber, nor can he help the fact that he has so many jobs and can’t trust his workers. There are SO MANY things wrong with that logic. He agreed to replace the shower, start the job in 2 weeks, and have it done in 3 days. Never showed up or called the weekend they were supposed to start, and we had to get confirmation they would show up the following weekend. 3 days turned into a week and a half as only one installer was doing the majority of the work (Side note the installer was the lead crew member from the original install) and cancelled 2 days during that time. The end product: dirt in the sink, mortar sprayed all over the toilet, grout missing, grout wash all over the bathroom floor and the shower area, when quick set grout dries it is very difficult to clean. The worst part is that I have Lupus and can’t do physical labor that will require hours of scrubbing to clean this. My husband needed to go back to work, so the concession is that we hire a company to clean up and fix this at a cost of $830.Moral of the story to Bestway would be “ if we came into your house and were unprofessional, unqualified and damaged property and you had spent $35k” how upset would you be?" There is no way to guarantee that you will get a professional contractor with Bestway Basement installs. Our next door neighbor recommended Bestway Basement but she confirmed she had a different crew, so her experience was positive.

The crew was excellent, wonderful and trustworthy. I am very happy with the quality and the craftsmanship. I thought I had an issue they came out right away, to look and it and reassure me everything was ok.

My wife and I were drawn to Bestway because of their Superwall Basement Finishing System. Drywall is positively prehistoric by comparison. Because of our eagerness to learn more we arrived at Matt's office unannounced. Despite the interruption he was extremely courteous and we immediately felt comfortable speaking with him. He went out of his way explaining the products and the process without any high pressure sales approach. Next we arranged for Matt to visit our basement. He understood our wants and needs and even added a couple of excellent ideas of his own. No need for a designer. Next we met with his construction crew which consisted of the father and son team of Claudio and Jeremiah. This is a very important step in the process where you as the consumer need to ask every question that comes to mind in order to know what your remodel covers and what would be outside of the scope of the agreement. Our barrage of inquiries saved us from any serious and unexpected surprises. Claudio and son are two very professional craftsmen and terrific people that we found to be an absolute pleasure to come to know. We were always left completely at ease having them in our home while we were out. They completed all the work in the short span of 17 days and no nights. This in a period that included two snow storms and a holiday. Our basement was transformed from a dingy cellar into bright and beautiful living space. There was none of the dust of drywall or the sloppiness of paint. They hauled away all the debris and left the finished space spotless. Through it all we didn't have much more to do than to pick out colors. If only buying the furniture was this easy. We are more than satisfied with our new basement and we highly recommend Bestway and their superior Superwalls system.

Additional Comments - Not knowing which contractor to go with and not having any connections to people in the business we decided to seek out the Superwalls product. We not only received a superior product but superior service and workmanship. It was a great relief and we are extremely satisfied with the results. Thank you again.

I called 3 companies for comparison quotes on finishing the basement. One company never returned my call, the second came to the house, measured, showed me their 2 choices of color for the material they used and promised me a written estimate - never heard back from them either. Bestway was responsive, had many choices of color, explained the entire job, LISTENED TO WHAT I WANTED WITH REGARD TO USE AND LAY-OUT OF THE BASEMENT, gave me a time frame to complete the job and then actually finished the entire job 5 days earlier than they promised
