I was extremely pleased with the work done by Sy of Van Horn Construction! My claim took about 6 months to complete, not due to Van Horn but the insurance company, product ordering and installation. (I had roof, gutters, some siding and windows replaced.) Sy kept in contact the entire time with updates. He was a true advocate for me. Sy made a stressful insurance claim repair a non stressful experience. I had complete confidence that Sy would get the job done and done correctly and he did!

Excellent customer service! Silas (Sy) Van Horn came to my house today on very short notice to help with an ice dam that appeared ready to cause some serious damage. He was very quick to respond and knowledgeable about what needed to be done. He worked efficiently to clear the area before the temperature dropped. Sy set my mind at ease and took time to show me the dynamics of what was happening. Besides his quick response time, I was very impressed with the fact that he left the work area in better condition than when he arrived! I will call Sy again when I need a project completed at my home!

We had a pipe break that caused water damage to our condo in St. Paul. The association completed the removal of the drywall and flooring, leaving our home in ruins. We spoke with several contractors, however, none seemed to give us good feeling. Weeks later, we were finally referred to Van Horn Construction LLC from a local tile contractor. We met with Silas, who walked us through the entire process, I felt so much better. My husband and I agreed to hire Van Horn Construction and after signing the agreement, Silas immediately went to work, dealt with the insurance company and set the start and end date of the restoration project. It was such a relief to be able to trust in someone and have them do what they say they will do, we were back on track. Luckily, we had a vacation planned and all work was planned during this time. We were there when our furniture was moved out and back in. Silas made sure I was compensated for my time to oversee the placement of furniture as my items were moved back into our condo. I will have to say, working in a High-rise building causes several obstacles for them. But he worked well with our building manager to make sure the different crews were using the proper elevators, ensuring the hallways and elevators were clean so we didn’t get fined. Sy was always available to answer questions, kept me informed and stopped me from making errors. My home looks fantastic and I am grateful for the quality of work performed. All work went as planned and the crews were courteous. We did have some furniture that was damaged. Silas proactively gathered all info, photos, and information needed to ensure I get compensated from the moving company hired. During the entire time we received updates from Silas, he managed the movers, crews, payments, city inspector and the insurance company. It’s like having a new home and we would personally recommend Van Horn Construction LLC to anyone.
