I would recommend this company but with a caveat. You have examine the materials they install. The 2 vanities we bought are incomplete and have still not been rectified.
I think the project was given to someone that was beyond their ability. At least they did it the rework during that time, and we did not have to wait until the end. It was supposed to we a week-long project; it took them two weeks to complete the work. There is a lot of dissatisfaction with how they left the project. There was a lot of dissatisfaction with the Project Managers. When the Project Managers came out at the end, they told us they offer a house cleaning service, which was not shared upfront. There was a lot of displeasure with how they conducted themselves. In my opinion, it was not professional.
The project took more the twice the time that it should have.
It was not a very easy process with them. The finished product is nice, but the process was difficult.
I was not satisfied with the professionalism and communication.
They have done good work for us in two homes. The one in Southern Maryland (2014) was a bit better than the one in Alexandria (2017).
One year and a half after completing the kitchen remodeling job, I am still in awe of the job they did, from initial design to choice of paint colors, to expertise in tearing out walls, to laying tile, to installing cupboards, and to keeping to the initial agreed-upon schedule. I have found absolutely NO flaws. I especially appreciated the outstanding design expertise and they were cheerful and easy to work with, welcoming my input at all times. I thank you, Southern Maryland Kitchen, Bath Floors & Design! Carolyn Ebel
The product is good. The management and scheduling were not good.
Southern Maryland exceeded my expectations with their design work and the initial design of the whole kitchen.
Southern Maryland Kitchen, Bath, Floors & Design comes with my highest recommendation possible (see comments below). This is the 3rd project that they did for us & we will use them again for future projects.
Overall good quality of work and outstanding design process, however work was slow/behind schedule and with money in hand the communication falls out and simple fixes take months to resolve.
They were great.
I had difficulties with communication, pertinent details left out, and craftsmanship for the price was very high. I had to have them come back because I still had some issues. I still need them to come back. I don't know if there is a solution. I had wood floors put in and there are some holes in the boards. They just filled them in with putty. The whole boards should have been removed and replaced. We actually did part of the work also.
Everything they did was quality. They stayed on schedule, they cleaned up after themselves, and all of the people that came were friendly and tried to stay out of our way as much as possible. We were very happy with them.
It was an absolute pleasure to work with everyone from the sales team - right down to the contractors. And the price was very competitive for the kitchen remodel we were doing.
I was happy with everything.
Not sure. Quality of work was good and team that performed the work was good, but I became frustrated with the lack of communication regarding changes to the schedule from the project manager. I wanted to know when someone would be and wouldn't be in my house on any given day and that was hard to do. Some of the changes and additions that were made prior to the project starting seemed to not be communicated to the folks who were doing the job and perhaps the folks ordering the materials. There was no final walk through communicated to me for quality assurance once the team was complete, and perhaps that is normal practice but I did not like it.
I did have an issue with the whole process.
The company they had contracted out stained the floor the wrong colour at first. I had to get them to come out a few times to fix some stuff.
I was not satisfied with the communication. A lot of the people that came out to do the work did not speak English. When I checked on the floor and it was the wrong colour that was big deal. They left stuff everywhere and when they came back out to do the floor the right colour they put the wrong shoe moulding up. I had to have them came back out again to put the correct one on.
They missed the deadline to have the project completed.
I was most satisfied with their ability to make up for the deadline and make it an acceptable project.
There were some minor details. Nothing major.
The design and the final product.
I was most satisfied with the convenience. They are a small business and they were great with recommended the best products for what we needed to do
I was very satisfied and I had no complaints.
We love our cabinets and floors!
We saw a sign while we were driving around.
The workmanship is very professional.
Everyone working for this company was easy to work with. If the app was updated regularly and information on it accurate, I would be extremely impressed with entire process from planning to execution.
