We had a great experience. We would use them again and refer them to others.
Communication - I appreciated their lead carpenters that were on site and our weekly project meetings with Mike to make sure we were all on the same page.
Professional & Organized - Super professional and organized.
Budget - Pathway is not likely the cheapest option, but I do believe that you get what you pay for. And once we landed on a budget and plan, they did a good job of staying within the budget and trying to help us find savings to offset some of the unforeseen additional issues/costs.
Schedule - To the best of their abilities, they stayed on schedule but there were challenges regarding materials and supplier availability.
Problem Resolution - This is where I really appreciated having Pathway running our projects - Mike and Paul did a great job of jumping in and solving issues as they came up (we have several very complicated projects that involved things like having to drill 11 supporting metal columns down 30 feet to support the concrete planter, remove two load bearing walls with a 30 foot support beam and not disturb the plaster ceilings, and build custom automated gate, etc).
Employees Professionalism - Everyone was professional and courteous.
Trade Partners Professionalism - Everyone including trade partners were professional and courteous.
Clean & Safe - I was very impressed on how the site was left each day - organized and cleaned up.
Quality Of Workmanship - Quality materials and quality workmanship is what I associate with Pathway.
Trust - The team even raise punch list items that we did not notice - they made sure everything was done right and well.
Fair Value For Investment - When I recommend Pathway to others, I say while they can initially seem expenses, you get what you pay for and they are worth it.
Areas Of Satisfaction - A couple of things that exceeded expectations - follow up to make sure things were done right and holding up well after 6 months and the helpful notebook of all products used and how to maintain.
We had a stellar experience with Pathway on our full kitchen renovation five years ago, so chose Pathway again without hesitation for our recent master bath remodel. The result is gorgeous, and functionally supports our need for better lighting and safety considerations as we age. We trust Pathway quality and integrity, from team members to thoughtfully selected subcontractors, from project concept to completion.
We had a very good experience overall with Pathway. Communication was strong and attention to detail excellent.
Employee Impact on Client Experience - Mark McKinney was very good to work with and very responsive to any questions/concerns we had.
Would recommend without reservation - high quality professionalism and workmanship, and a commitment to excellence
Areas Of Satisfaction - Their efforts in assisting with the insurance side of our project really exceeded our expectations; Mike and Paul handling the leak issue with the reverse osmosis filter personally on a Friday afternoon/Saturday; and just the overall problem solving and flexibility all stood out
Employee Impact on Client Experience - As mentioned above, we thought everyone was great. But have to give a special shout out to Mike here - he was an invaluable partner for us throughout - the work with us on all of the bids/cost sheets alone was an incredible amount of work, and he always handled everything quickly and accurately, and was a constant presence that was expert on all aspects of our project and gave us a great amount of comfort throughout a long and difficult endeavor - the amount of time, energy, and value he brought were immeasurable, and we will always be grateful.
Additional Comments - Just a big thank you to everyone - having our house suddenly destroyed by water out of the blue was not an easy thing to deal with, and we couldn't have done it without you - your commitment to our project and partnership for close to 2 years allowed us to take a disaster and come out on the other side with an amazing house that we love.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The construction was well implemented as per our satisfaction by a very experienced contractor who was very meticulously followed the designs laid by the architect. Mark was very holistic about his work and very easy to communicate with throughout the eight month project duration and he communicated the progress almost on daily basis with us. He was great in thinking big, resolving the ambiguity involved for all involved parties on daily basis and delivering results. The minor change requests were handled well and they stayed on the course of the budget decided with us. They were thorough with requirement gathering and finalizing the scope and we hardly had many changes during the course of the project. We also observed that there are an inclusive company and we enjoyed working with them.
Employee Impact on Client Experience - Mark- It was a pleasure working and interacting with him on daily basis and also learnt a ton from him as a family during the construction process. He was thorough, patient and honest with the implementation. Thank you for answering all our questions, your efforts and the positive energy you left behind in the space. Kari- she was always available to chat during the construction and later on for any questions or scheduling which was needed. Thanks for all your time and patience. Mike- He was great in resolving any conflicts and scheduling during the course of the project. Thanks for your efforts with this project.
Pathway was a bit expensive but we knew from the start that they cared about the quality of their work and our experience during the remodel. They communicated status and risk frequently and worked with us to come up with solutions within our budget as problems arose. I already recommend them to family and friends curious about remodels - we would definitely work with them again.
Areas Of Satisfaction - Strong communication of timelines and addressing challenges as they came along. Extremely professional and thoughtful - they care about their work and customers.
Employee Impact on Client Experience - Jacob Teitelbaum was incredible to work with. He felt like family and showed up everyday with positive energy. We felt good about the project the entire time due to his efforts to keep us informed.
Issues with communication throughout the process. Mostly caused by vendors that Pathway brought in, but also several miscommunications or forgotten discussions with Pathway.
Everything went smoothly. Very professional. Solid construction. Stayed within budget. Great communication. Reliable. We are completely happy with our covered patio and the whole process. We would definitely choose Pathway again.
Pathway did excellent work on our whole-house remodel. Great communication, knowledgeable employees, work completed in a timely manner.
This was our first house remodel we've undertaken and after extensive research choose Pathway Design for the project. From the start to finish we couldn't have been happier with the experience. Pathway was professional, organized and was there step-by-step thru the entire journey. The Pathway team are consummate professionals and the finished result of our two bathrooms exceeded our expectations.
We found Pathway's performance on our project to be exceptional. Their project management, communication, staff expertise and quality of subcontractors made our large remodel project seem quite manageable. When unexpected issues arose, we found Pathway very responsive - a resourceful partner and team player.
Without a doubt we would absolutely recommend Pathway Design & Construction. We had our kitchen and bathroom renovated right before the arrival of our first baby, it was done beautifully, super high quality, stress free (on our side) and the team went above and beyond to hit or exceed timeline dates even when it came to decisions we ourselves made that extended timeline (we asked to repaint a vanity). We never anticipated this project would go so smoothly, with so little interruption to our every day lives and with ease of mind having full trust in the team. Every chance they could, they went above and beyond - for example resetting our living space well beyond ‘site cleanup’, giving us extra options to increase storage space and extend the counter and just general quick smart thinking on the job that helped us move along to the best result!
We easily had trust in the team, not just because of the results but from constant communication with daily logs, weekly meetings and very frequent text discussions whenever there was something quick to discuss. Our project was also a little more challenging in terms of access because we live in a lot with 3 townhouses and we are furthest back from the street which means trucks and equipment had to go past our neighbors and use the shared driveway - we heard from our neighbors that it was not a bother at all which is another testament to excellent management of the project. Our trust also came from the team being amazing to work with, all super great people looking to do an amazing job within the scope of what we want and work with us to get there!
Every Pathway employee and associate was courteous and conscientious—so important in a close-quarters, multi-story condominium community. This was the second time I’ve used Pathway. As was the case the first time, the work was top-quality—and in some respects, even better.
Areas Of Satisfaction - Communication was excellent
This was our first major home renovation (finishing the basement into an ADU) and the process could not have been more smoother and transparent from the design phase and throughout the construction phase. We really appreciate Paul working with our architect to find innovative design solutions that met our goals while staying within our budget. Everything was detailed out in the scope of work, so there were no major surprises. Our lead carpenter, Mark, was amazing to work with and we have been extremely impressed with the quality of his work and the trade partners. Mark was exceptional in problem solving and paid great attention to every detail. We appreciated the high standards of health and safety protocols that were put in place (very important for us because of the old lead paint in the house and we have little ones and it was also during the pandemic). Mike, the project manager, was very responsive and was easy to communicate with and helped to address any concerns or questions promptly. We felt our project overall was handled with a lot of care and we highly recommend Pathway.
Communication - The weekly meetings covered everything. Mark seemed to know everything about what was coming up.
Professional & Organized - Highly professional and transparent.
Schedule - While it did take a bit longer than planned (but we had expected delays was normal). We appreciated that the work wasn't rushed and care was taken to complete the project to the utmost quality.
Problem Resolution - We didn't have any major problems, but when concerns/questions came up, it was promptly responded to. Really appreciate Mike would come out to the site to chat about any concerns/questions we had.
Clean & Safe - very appreciate the clean up after each day.
Areas Of Satisfaction - Overall, we had a great experience and it was not very stressful or disruptive as we had anticipated. We are extremely satisfied with the beautiful new space that we have for our family.
You get what you pay for. We wanted a competent company with good communication and action. And we got it.
Budget - They were far from the cheapest, but if you want communication, competence, and action, you have to pay for it.
Great experience end to end. These guys know how to remodel and do it right. They take care of your every need. All with any additional cost!
Budget - Very happy with how they budget and stick to it unless change requests are needed. This is such a great part of the experience.
Schedule - As far as scheduling goes this is the best held schedule in all my various remodels.
Problem Resolution - They are on it
Areas Of Satisfaction - Top to bottom their responsiveness attention to detail client first mentality is something I have not seen a lot of in this industry. Can’t wait to use them again!!!!
Additional Comments - Paul and Mike.... thank you for handling our Job with care and making our experience great. You have built an awesome company!
Communication - Being remote, using email include pictures and Buildertrend made it easier.
Budget - Matched the contract with no surprises.
Schedule - Even though the start was out of our control, Pathway kept to the initial contract schedule estimate and to the schedule made once the project started.
Problem Resolution - We had a few issues with Pathway's suppliers and they worked with us to resolve issues.
Quality Of Materials - So far it has been fine and we appreciated their suggestions on products.
Fair Value For Investment - Pathway might have been more expensive then what others had quoted but there were no up charges during the project except. for the issue of the tub surround. We think that others would have raised their prices or used inferior products.
Areas Of Satisfaction - Prompt, good communication (questions or notifications), overall quality and workmanship, keeping to the schedule and working with us to find a timely solution to the tub surround issue.
Additional Comments - They made it as easy as possible to manage the work remotely and probably couldn't find anyone that could have made that easier. Appreciate their willingness to work with us and positive attitudes.
Will definitely hire Pathway for our next project.
Areas Of Satisfaction - The painting and drywall done on our project was really well done. This part of the scope wasn't something we had originally asked for, but we're glad we did because it looks really nice.
Additional Comments - Will definitely hire Pathway for our next project.
Additional Comments - . Except for Covid the project went smoothly and very well.
Areas Of Satisfaction - They met/exceeded my expectations with their follow-through.
Additional Comments - We were in the middle of the remodel when COVID shut everything down. They worked really hard to get our bathroom back functioning and complete the project while following all the requirements for the shutdown.
We couldn't be more pleased having selected Pathway Design & Construction for our home remodel project. The entire staff practices, the positive attitude, pride in quality, highest integrity and standards, reflecting the personality and philosophy that we noted in our initial meeting with Company President Paul Kocharhook. Our team and support staff, were experienced, skilled crafts-persons of the highest quality. They were all polite, personable and thoughtful individuals providing us with the feeling that our smaller remodel, was their most important jobs.
We also experienced personal growth through the project development stages and construction phases, often being presented exciting alternatives to our preconceived assumptions and ideas. We were expertly guided through an enlightening educational experience and are thoroughly enjoying our new, more efficient, organized spaces. We are thrilled with all aspects of our completed project.couldn't be happier with all aspects of our completed project, from the hardware and equipment recommendations and the "look" of our new spaces and their selected finishes and colors.
Communication - Communication was an important ingredient during the entire process of our project. This was mostly managed through a program used by Pathway called Buildertrend. It contained all of our project goals, the final permitted Construction Documents (and all developing design iterations, comments, and questions), our signed Contract, any historically significant information and photo images of the pre-project spacial layout and conditions of our home, the names and contact information for all Pathway Team Members, including all Sub-contractors. It provided a daily report on each day's activities, questions from both owner and contractor, progress photographs, all specified equipment and materials for review and final approval, invoices, Change Order proposals and cost for approval, and budget and schedule tracking and updates. It proved to be a great tool once we got used to always checking daily for informational updates and possible questions. In addition there were weekly meetings with both our lead carpenter and project manager, as well as occasional request for in situ, situational reviews and decisions for "unanticipated discoveries" in order to maintain schedule.
Budget - Maintained budget with very few Change Orders resulting from structural surprise, owner added requests, and some cost savings options.
Problem Resolution - Owner questions/problems were always quickly addressed and corrected, if necessary. Any contractor questions/problems including the typical "remodel surprises" were quickly presented with options as well as budget and schedule impacts. Always transparent and the solutions dealt with and incorporated promptly.
Employees Professionalism - All construction team members and office staff were certainly top notch, highly qualified, wise from professional experience and always polite, considerate and courteous.
Trade Partners Professionalism - If they weren't skilled, professional, and courteous crafts-persons, they wouldn't have been working for Pathway. In conversation I learned that their group of subs typically work exclusively with Pathway. I have worked in the construction industry for many years in various capacities and these are among the very best I have had the pleasure of working with. All very responsible, promoting, representing and living by the "Pathway Philosophy."
Clean & Safe - Cleanliness and safety were always a priority, both during the work day and as they departed each day. They were very responsible of caring for the entire house not just the areas in which the improvements were occurring.
Quality Of Materials - I think we touched on that briefly in our summary above; however, their experience led to recommendations of products used in applications on past jobs with consistent reliability on past jobs. This experience served us all well and introduced us to some hardware, items and materials that we really couldn't be happier and more pleased with. In a sense it becomes almost a quest, in a cooperative search in consideration of the best solutions for each and every aspect on every project.
Quality Of Workmanship - Second to none!!! Their pride in their work product shows in even the smallest of details, just as you want it to.
Trust - It works!!! We were not pleased with some of our carpet installation and it was replaced at no additional cost to us.
Fair Value For Investment - We definitely feel we got a very "Fair Value" and the quality we wanted for our investment.
Additional Comments - Pathway will always receive our highest recommendation and our first consideration for any possible future projects.
Process focused, easy to work with, good communications, high value
Budget - We changed the specs to get what we wanted. Pathway knocked themselves out to stay in budget
Schedule - Pathway set a schedule and worked to get it. No problems
Employees Professionalism - Everyone we worked with was top notch
Trade Partners Professionalism - The subs were all attentive
Clean & Safe - Exceptional. Cleaner than we normally keep things.
Quality Of Materials - Materials matched the budget
Quality Of Workmanship - Excellent work from professional craftsmen
Areas Of Satisfaction - Incredibly fast response to concerns
Additional Comments - Would definitely recommend Pathway
We have heard horror stories about friends' experiences with other contractors. This was our first remodel, so we were nervous at the beginning. However, Pathway never let us down, and we will gladly recommend Pathway to friends.
Communication - We had weekly meetings with Alex, and all of our concerns and questions were fully addressed.
Problem Resolution - An asbestos issue arose unexpectedly in the middle of our project. Pathway efficiently addressed this issue and kept our project on schedule.
Employees Professionalism - Everyone who works for Pathway was unfailingly professional and courteous.
Clean & Safe - Pathway set up dust/dirt containment barriers and cleaned up so well that we were able to live in during the remodel.
Areas Of Satisfaction - In almost every area! Alex went out of his way to address all of our concerns. He always communicated patiently and clearly, did his own construction work to a very high standard, and generously helped us with other problems that arose during construction. After unusually heavy rain, water seeped into a basement room near where a new electrical panel was being installed as part of our project. (The electrical panel was not the source of the leak.) Alex and Mike kindly assisted us with drying out the basement and helped diagnose the external source of the water.
