I would recommend Northern Precision without reservation. From our very first meeting until our final walk-through, they were truthful, kept promises with regard to what they could or could not do, met every deadline, communicated extremely well during the project, helped us cut costs in places that didn't matter to us, met the estimates we were given, and were open to products they had not used before (our flooring was a newer type of vinyl with which they weren't acquainted, but they checked it out with the supplier and gave us the OK). They recommended suppliers for countertops, cabinets, flooring and carpet, which helped us immensely as we had no experience in Venice with those. They are in control of any subcontractors they use (drywall, electric, etc) and we never had any issue with any of them. Our project was done while we were up North, which made me nervous at first. But their communication kept us in the loop and I quickly realized I had nothing about which to worry. We visited a couple of times during the project, and found everything neat and organized...they said they cleaned up like that every single day before they left. When we arrived for our walk-through when the project was finished, the entire place was SPOTLESS....floor had been cleaned, carpets vacuumed, even the windows were sparkling. The remodel was beautiful, and I could not have been happier!

We were prepared to have to deal with issues because the project was done while we were not in town...we were happy to find there were no issues whatsoever.

They always wear embroidered polo shirts which looks nice and professional. I noticed their shirts when they had dinner together one night when I picked up pizza for my husband and myself. I stopped by and introduced myself and inquired about remodeling. A nice hand shake, a professional business card and an appointment was made which led to a complete remodel of our vacation condo. My contact person was Matt. He is extremely organized.

(We found out that this is something that is unusual in Florida by the water, a lot of construction workers are on "Island Time".) They even ordered some things ahead of schedule at times and stock piled it just to make sure they could be on time.

Problem Resolution - Yes. We honestly didn't have any major problems, despite completely remodeling our whole vacation residence when we were not there! The smaller issues we encounter were taken care of in a professional and timely manner. Matt actually would foresee a potential problem and address it before it became an issue. For example: We had selected a pebble stone surface in the shower. Matt called and asked me if I was aware that some people find it uncomfortable to stand on it. My husband and I discussed it and decided to go ahead with our pebbles and we love it. However, I can understand how some people would not like it. I appreciate that it was brought to our attention so we could make the best decision for us.

Clean & Safe

Clean & Safe - Northern Precision organized and took care of all permits and inspections to make sure everything was up to par. They even power washed the stair wells after the construction. Everything was immaculate when we moved back in. The professional cleaning service they provide is exceptional. I personally never saw the work site but to judge from the pictures we received and no complaints from the neighbors, I would say they did a terrific job!

Value - If they did projects in Wisconsin they would be hired for our primary residence!!! We had originally planned on getting the tile and backsplashes from Wisconsin. Due to time constraint Northern Precision ordered it for us. I was pleasantly surprised when they could get it not only 4 weeks quicker but $2,000 cheaper!!! Talk about value. (The exactly same tile!).
